So while wasting time on ESPN.com today, I came across this article that is calling the goal in the video as one of the best ever.....

Am I missing something when I see it as more of a lucky shot than anything?  I mean, the bicycle kick is cool, but I think I've seen better.  Of course, I'm not a big soccer guy, so I might not understand something about it.  I asked a guy I work that used to be a pro, but he hasn't gotten back to me.

Pretty impressive. Best goal ever? Probably not. Here's on of my favorite bicycle kicks, done by my friend drew ducker who plays and coaches professionally.

Edit: oh and my favorite part of the video i posted is when the announcer says "i bet he's never done that in his life". If only you knew announcer man if only you knew.

Anytime anyone makes a big play in any sport it gets called the "best ever" by the guys at ESPN. They hype up everything.

^^^ Lol, so true.  I've seen the best dunk ever 20x in the last year or so on ESPN.

This goal was sick though, if it was in a big time competition and not a friendly it'd definitely be considered one of the best goals ever. Still an unbelievable goal, even crazier that it was from 35 yards out.

Just for the celebration, which is pure class

It's probably one of the best goals ever, just for sheer difficulty. Back to goal, the ball is over 6 feet in the air when he hits it, he never actually looks to see where the goal is, and it's 30 yards out. It's really not much luck. Ibrahimovich scores improbable goals like that.

The match was just a friendly, not part of any competition.  But it was a great goal, the fact that he meant to do it and even attempt it from that distance out.  I still perfect goals with a great build-up, take the ball around 4/5 different players, then place it in the corner from a difficult angle.

I played the game for ~15 years (gave it up to play golf!) and in college and when I saw that goal I literally screamed.. I am not sure what parts of it aren't just absolutely amazing to you but the sheer instinct, bravery talent and execution of that goal are completely off the charts.
