How are the AAAAA Pro V1s for those of you that have ordered before?

I bought 100 a while back.  Of those, IIRC, 6-7 were not what I would consider mint.  I emailed LGB some pics and the sent me replacements right away.  The rest looked either brand new or like the had been hit once or twice.  Some had logos, some had sharpie lines.  The sharpie cleaned up easily with a quick wipe of nail polish remover.

White XV's are $18 / dozen.  They were $26 or $28 / dozen over the summer.  Yellow ones are $23 / dozen.

usually if they are on sale they make their price red. They were $15 a couple weeks ago

going by lgb's grading scale, only one out of 12 was AAAAA.
6 balls were barely 4A quality.
the other 5 were



i mean really??  gills on AAAAA balls?  

i got the dozen for only 9 bucks so i dont know if it's worth my time and effort to call them and complain.
what should i do?

Contact them, they usually make things right at no extra costs. Send them a photo if you can. Good Luck

Exactly.  It might only be $9, but if you send them the pic you posted, theyll replace them without much issue.  It wont cost you anything.

I will say though, it seems as though the balls that have condition problems are usually the ones that arent as common these days and are in short supply.

shot them an email yesterday but no response so far.
to be honest, i did not have high expectations on these balls.  i mean some of these could have been sitting in water for 4 or 5 years.
i really want to put them in play this weekend but it's like 10 degrees out in new jersey.

I've tried the LGB route twice now, with terrible results both times.  At least half the balls in both orders weren't 5A status, and most looked like the TM balls listed in the pic above.  It's not worth the time and effort to get what I think I'm paying for, I'll stick to retail.

If there is one thing I have learned with Lostgolfballs.com its that if you are looking for a ball that is more than three or four years old and not in current rotation of golfers, it is hit or miss.  It is supply and demand at its finest.  The more people you have playing 2012 Prov1x's the more lost balls there are going to be and thus LGB will have better quality.  If i want a Pro V from 2004, obviously they are not going to be in like new condition.  So when ordering older golf balls just keep that in mind.  That said, they shouldn't be advertising them as AAAAA quality.
