Sponsors? why do they care about 2nd stage of Q School? It's not on TV and he can take some time to practice.

He didn't start. so there was nothing to finish. Happens fairly often, guys sign up and then improve there position. i am sure Beljian was signed up also, and I am certain he withdrew.

watching the coverage on sunday they talked about different guys that were signed up and that would not be heading to Q School if they didn't have to. it does happen all the time and it's not a big deal........even for the sponsors

I wonder where this reasonable though was in the other players' thread where a guy basically has a card locked up on another overseas tour, and WD'd for logical, sound reasons, yet got blasted as if he sold dope to a nun.
Just sayin...
Now, you're correct in that most of this is NOT serious, but I was just trying to bring some things to light, mainly how dumb people look when they don't look at many of the factors involved...

People sign up for pre-qual but then make a cut on Web.com or something and are exempt...or they are registered for Stage 1 but then play well in an event or two, work up the web.com money list and are exempt to Stage 2...or a tour player signs up but then gets in top 150 of $ rank and gets exempt to Stage 3. There are other ways of getting exempt, I'm just giving an example for each sage...
