Didn't try this particular model...but flirted with the Velocity. It was short lived. Yes...I did get some additional distance...but the price paid was the ball not holding the green coming in with mid or long irons. The straw that broke the camel's back for me was playing a match and had a 135 yard shot to an uphill green...way uphill...could only see the upper 25% of the flagstick. I hit a 9 iron and I would expect some run out because the ball has not completed the trajectory arc, and with the ProV1x normally I would expect maybe 4-5 feet given the spin rate. The ball mark was 1 inch left of the cup itself and the ball ran out to 35 feet. That was the end of the Velocity use for me. I would rather have the spin control than the distance.

Well i was worried about that, but I have to say it wasnt that bad. Almost a one hop and stop, it seemed like. It definetly my new favorite ball.

Oh for sure...if I was coming into a green that didn't have a lot of elevation on me with wedges, 9 or 8 irons....I got the proverbial one-hop-and-stop because the ball is coming down at such a steep angle. It is when I am hitting 3-6 irons that I start to see the real difference....especially when the greens are firm I would get a lot of roll...sometimes right off the back.
If it works for you...go for it. For me...not something I am going to play.

Will have to try this ball. I need a little more distance and greens are soft now.

Definetly worth a try. For $29.99 for two dozen at costco you cant beat em.

I love the tour distance from costco. I recently played them this weekend and good bye prov1x. For the price you cant beat them. Any one else have this happen.
