Hey I love golf, love golf equipment, love my club, but I more so love my country. How about a little respect for our veterans, both members and not, the 9.9% who did the unthinkable so we could have the freedoms we have today. I love all of you guys! Thank you so much for your service.

Everybody is appreciative of veterans, whether they know it or not.  I think there is not much participation on this thread simply because it's not on a well-traveled area of GolfWRX.  Thanks again guys, everyday should be veterans day.

When I played Sunday, I was paired with a group of older gentlemen. We had a great time, but as usual, I started limping a bit on the back nine. When asked I told them it was an old injury, and the cooler weather just makes it worse. A couple of holes later, one of the guys just looked at me and asked me when I served. I just looked at him for a second, then told him. He later asked if I was limping because of that, and all I said was "yes". The subject was not brought up again the rest of the round.

As we were finishing, they asked me if I was interested in a drink. I don't usually, but we went in and sat down, drinks were brought, and we had a good time. We even had lunch. As the bills were brought over one of the guys wispered something to the girl and she disappeared, only to return with one check that the other guys split. I wasn't even given a chance to pay. Then the manager came over and told me that my round was reembursed to my card. Seems the guys paid for that too. Then they all stood up, shook my hand, again, and thanked me for my service.

Best round I've had in a long while.
