gonna be there during thanksgiving and my son loves to go in the pool, he is 8.  can u recomend a hotel that's fun for kids and a golf course for me, thanks....

Probably not enough info to give you the best answer because price will dictate my answer but on an open budget I would say the Scottsdale Princess. Right next to both TPC courses and close to many other good public courses. Great spot for the family and pool, food are top notch.

Remember that it's cooling off down here (low 60's today) and the pool, even when heated, can feel cold.

Marriott at Desert Ridge. Lazy river pool, tons of shopping within walking distance and 2 great courses at Wildfire (Faldo and Palmer).

I was going to suggest the Marriot at Desert Ridge as well great choice tons of stuff for the kids with the lazy river and pool.

so i booked 2 days at the four seasons, i wanted to play troon and 2 days at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess. now should i make a reservation for troon monument or pinnacle.
second, which course at the fairmont scottsdale?

Pinnacle or Monument, not a big difference in the two.

The Princess is on the property of the TPC Scottsdale.  The Stadium course is the site of the Phoenix Open, it's an OK course, but awful from a value standpoint because it is WAY overpriced.  There is also the Champions course, which is also OK and overpriced, although not as overpriced as the Stadium.  If you like to walk, they have an unadvertised walking rate around $50 which makes it a much better value.

Will you have a car?  A short drive will take you to a number of better choices than the TPC.

I'm not much of a traveler but I have family in Scottsdale that I am visiting in February and we want to stay at a decent hotel with a spa for the ladies in the group. I'm sure my uncle has some good recommendations on courses so not too concerned about where we play. I might play a round with him and a round by myself somewhere else. Wouldn't mind walking the Champions course for $50! That sounds like a great deal!

So, any recommendations on a nice hotel for the ladies to enjoy a spa day?

Overall the best is Whirwind:  Aji Spa and 2 courses plus the Casino 5 min away for later

loved the four seasons, the pool at the princess was great...
so i played raptor at greyhawk, wow! what a course aboulutley loved it. ok, now the bad. i was +17.
ha,ha,ha,ha,ha,ha,ha
can u say, had a bad day but no mind what a beautiful course, so well maintained and honest.
if i hadn't had a bad day i think i coulda been +10, hole 18 was by far my fav, luv the water.
