Would you reccomend me playing a schedule somewhat like this:
6-7 njpga junior events
2 ajga qualifiers

Throw in your State Open, Junior Amateur , and Amateur tournaments. You might even give the USGA events in your area a shot as well.

Agree with what he says.  The bigger tournaments the better.  As a freshmen depends, if you have some serious game then maybe.  But playing with the big boys is a lot different than play with younger kids.  I can tell you right now if you manage to qualify for the US junior your stock will go way up automatically. Coaches who recruit that tournament look for the "no name" kids because they are the "diamonds in the rough."  I know several kids, including my roommate who is a GolfWRX member and hopefully will chime in on this topic, who went from a good player who no one had heard of to a kid that coaches realized had some serious game.

I'm the roommate BluehoseGolf was referring to. Play in as many state junior events possible. Its better to start out at smaller state events then to jump to bigger AJGAs. Play in some AJGAs, but if you have numerous state events to play in then play in those. Contrary to popular belief, coaches do not jump straight to looking at players who play in all AJGA events. They are good so definitely play in a good number, but also play in other events that way coaches will see your performances in different conditions of play. If you are serious about taking your game to play in college, then do not worry too much about just tournament play. Practice and work hard and if you really wanna play college golf, coaches will find you eventually.
