So, i've read the post of those that hate the q-star and i've read (and agree) with those that love the q-star.  But my question is this they're on sale and my guy at EW says that there is a new one coming, but he didn't have any info on it, besides what the box will look like - so does anyone on here have any information?

I did not think that the QStar were up for replacement yet.  I believe that the ZStar are up for replacement though.  I happen to agree with you that the QStar is probably the best all around ball out there.  To me it has great feel off of all of my clubs, the distance is very good,  spin around the greens is very good for the price point, and best of all it is extremely durable.  I can usually play 1 ball a round and the ball still looks like it is ready to go for at least another round.

The qstar is a great ball.  I hope Srixon doesn't mess with it too much!

Yep it's 19.99 at my EW but still normally priced at Academy 4 miles down the street.

These should have been $20 from the get go. Rebadging the AD333 and jacking the price up $5 drove me away from the brand.

Yea that was discouraging, I would have stuck with the AD333 but they didn't release them in yellow.

I stopped by academy on the way home from dinner with the wife and picked up a dozen in yellow to try out. I am starting to lose balls too much because of the weather change etc so I figured a decent yellow ball might help me.

Wow. Thanks for the contribution.   While I think they are a bit overpriced most find their performance adequate.  After all its pretty much a rebadged AD333 which is a highly regarded ball.

I have to agree with Arpeggi.....the QStar was the worst ball I tried this year.  I liked the Trispeed a lot, but the QStar felt terrible to me.  I'm not disparaging anyone else's experience...just sharing mine.  For me, the Wilson Duo is a much better choice.

i was surprised to see so many loving qstar balls.
i bought two dozens when it first came out, and hated almost everything about it.
i had (still do) a choice of buying qstars at normal price or buying 2 dozens of trispeed tours for $35.
imo, qstars' normal price should be under $20.
