Not sure if it is real or not.  All I know is I'm not spending $2,000 for a driver no matter what it will do or how far it will hit it a golf ball.

Vijay's club/shaft?  Hmmmm.....

First of all, Vijay normally plays a driver that is a few degrees open which reduces the effective loft.  So, if this one is 7.5 degrees to begin with, it would be about 4.5 degrees effective loft if the face were 3 degrees open.

Secondly, would Vijay really use a shaft painted in the TM color scheme?  I think Cleveland golf might have a problem with that.

I'm not saying it didn't come from Vijay, but I'd be very suspicious.

Vijay played an r7 until late last year or early this year.  He didn't switch until Cleveland got the Comp just right for him.  In fact, when I was at the Chrysler Championship last October, Vijay was still playing the r7.  I'm 100% sure it was a 9.5 degree since I saw the sole.

Sorry to disagree, but VJ has used everything from 7.5 - 11.5 in the r7 and a variety of shafts including the black ice and the shaq (both shafts also available to every other tm tour player), i agree with one of the other posts, unlikely to play it with tm paint job.But most importantly why pay $2000 for this club unless you collect them, in which case i would want more proof of VJs ownership.

Vijay's shaft is the Mitsubishi shaqx.  He still plays it in the Cleveland Comp.

This is the latest pic I have of VJ, it's difficult to tell exactly what shaft he's using but the color shade sure looks like a shaqx.

Vijay did play several lofts of the R7, but he always played teh standard gold colored Shaqx in it, never a TP graphics one. Plus, I know that Vijay had his driver bent open several degrees, but he also played major weight in the toe, like a 14 gram weight. I highly doubt that VJ would have only 2-2s and 2-10s in that head from every spec I have ever seen of his driver. Plus, the deal with the pins in teh weights (the tamper proof ones) is BS, I have had tons of weights and have even seen retail heads that had the tamper proof screws. Why else would every retail wrench have the tamper proof hole in the wrench? Guess TM wouldn't do that if only the tour weights had the tamper proofs when they say there is no difference in tour and retail....

Vijay plays the ShaqX which is available in TP graphics as the.......Black Ice.  So I find that plausible.

Vijay typically plays a 10.5* driver that is bent a number of degrees open, but I could not say with certainty that this was not a driver that Vijay hit once and decided not to play.

Remember, that Vijay played a r7 most of last year, and it was not until his big contract with Cleveland that he switched to a Comp.....

The fact that there isn't a picture of the toe of the club nor the serial number makes me a little bit suspicious.

Its a good shaft, and may have even came from Vijay at one point, but not worth $2,000 - $3,000 in my opinion (at least not without some sort of proof of authenticity)

There is an easy way to tell a VJ TM head...his had scoring lines in the middle of the face...he felt that if the face got wet from dew or what ever, the ball slid on the face..so TM went and put some scoring lines on the face, right in the middle...I am calling BS on this auction...

I'm with you on this one. I have it from a very reliable source that this was not VJ's. Also, I had one of VJ's original 510DF's which was a 9.5* that was cranked open 3* and trust me, even VJ would struggle to get a 7.5* with that shaft airborne the way he prefers. Let alone if it too is cranked open which we all know is his preference.
