Was at the range tonight where there was a TM Demo going on... as I was about to leave he got me on his launch monitor to hit the new Rbladez and compare to the RBZ irons.

These Rbladez are LONG! I was averaging 14 yards further with them. My misses (thin) were still carrying longer than the RBZ.

I grabbed a 4 iron and pumped it 240 yards. And SO easy to hit....

However they are quite loud! A really loud clip sound, caused by the thinner face and compression slice underneath he said.

Theres a tour version coming out Feb 1st which he showed me some pics of and looks the goods!!

Anyone in the market for this kind of iron... HIT THE RBLADEZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!... Anyway, back to my 712mb's. :-D

This is the second thread where I read about a 4 iron going 240 yards. I don't get it. There's no need nor is It practical in my eyes. Unless your a player lacking serious distance then these sound like they are going to help. But for the average player or better I'm thinking these are just not intended for us.

Well, I always say, hitting it thin and long is better than a fat shot.  At least it is for me.

I have 2 of my inner circle peeps / the crew  .. who I know - know what they know - one is a TM staffer who has his name on his bag ... BOTH of these guys have hit them

I hear they are a FULL CLUB longer - and just rediculously good .. and basically TM got it right ...

Hard to not to accept it - even though we all try - but TMAG just keeps engineering and engineering and pushing and pushing ... They just do. Lucky for us all actually - cuz they make every OEM  push as a result or they will be left behind.

Hey Robo are they hitting the 4 iron 240+ yards? What are their thoughts on that? I am curious to hear how the gaps are filled with such length. Surely TM has figured a solution into the equation for the length, did they say how that ranges through the set?
Thanks

golfers are so dumb... irons are not for distance, they're for precision... if you need more distance than your irons will go... grab a hybrid or FW

hitting irons longer just means larger gaps between them, or more wedges needed at the other end of the set

if it really makes you feel cooler to say you've got 5 wedges in your bag go for it, but 3-pw, 4-gw, it's the same thing.. just a different name

i would imagine they are a full club longer.. have you checked out the lofts?  6 iron has stronger loft than most 5 irons.

If these play out as touted, I'm all over the long irons.  I never could get along with hybrids the way they were meant to be.  I actually hit my 2 & 3 iron better than any hybrid.  240 yd 4 iron?  Sign me up.  CHIT I'll get rid of all my fairway woods too.  :D

If its got a 4 stamped on the bottom then it's a 4 iron, don't care if the loft is the same as a 2 iron.

Other than the pre-launch buzz, TM irons rarely get discussed here in comparison to other OEM's. All year long, we see threads about MP-59's, I-20's and AP2's....guys trying different shaft combo's, asking for feedback or giving reviews. There is just a trickle of info here and there on TM's irons, generally the MB's or CB's. But those pale in comparison to the other OEM's I mentioned. It makes me wonder who is buying all the TM irons, if sales are what TM claims them to be...because it sure doesn't seem to be WRX folks.

If you can hit a 4 iron 240, how far do you hit your driver? 450?

I know that swing speeds are 100+ hitting a 4 iron 240 thats done on tour now. Or so they say on TV...

What does a 85-95 swing speed hit the tour model? Theses yardage are a little hard to belive. IMHO

I'll get a set if its this good, Playing CB2's and love them....Longer than my last set and easer to hit.

Looking forward to the Tour Irons.....

So you were previously hitting your 4i 226?  or are you saying they are 14 yards longer than RBZ?  The swing speed required for either of those distances is... high.

I wonder what the shafts were.  Higher dispersion for more distance with a softer shaft?

That too, but if their old clubs work for them better, why would they play something else?  Remember, they're playing for a paycheck to keep their jobs.  Not just for the OEM.

My AP1 710 six iron is 29*.   My understanding is that the Rocketbladez six iron is 26.5*.    On the website, TM says they are 9 yards longer than my irons.    I'm not shocked, with those specs.

Seeing as the 3 iron has 2 iron loft.. I would think about purchasing the 3 iron to replace my current 2 iron set up. Although it looks like cally and titleist are coming out with some nice driving irons too... Decisions

Wow.  240 for 4 iron.  If I hit 4 iron 240, that means my std yd gap per club would mean my PW would go about 175-180.  Do they make 6 wedges to go with this?

240 isn't that ridiculous...I hit my 4 iron 240...I'm not sure what the loft difference is between the i20 vs the BLADEZZZZZZZZZZZ tho

yardage gaps are about 15 yards in between clubs...with a little wiggle here or there...not sure if that's bad good or indifferent...but it works for me

But, yeah...just because a club adds yardage doesn't mean a whole lot in my opinion, like said above
