SuperStroke's new grip, the 2.0, fills the gap between the company's previous standard and midsize putter grips, the "Slim and Ultra Slim."

The "Slim" grip, used by Jason Dufner, was the company's most popular grip on the PGA Tour, measuring 1.3 inches in diameter. The 2012 Ultra Slim was thinner, with a 1-inch diameter. The 2012 lineup also included its "Fatso" grip, which measured 1.67 inches in diameter and is used on tour by Matt Bettencourt.

"A lot of players on tour wanted a grip that was thicker than the Ultra Slim, but not as thick as the Slim, " according to Jon Luna, director of marketing for SuperStroke. "So we created the 2.0, which measures 1.2 inches in diameter."

Luna said that the 2012 line had names that were sometimes confusing to consumers, so to correspond with the 2.0 the company renamed the Ultra Slim the "1.0," the Slim "3.0" and the Fatso "5.0." A 4.0 grip is also scheduled for 2013, although the product is still in the development stage.

Along with the name changes, the company also changed the texture of the new grips, adding what Luna called "cross traction technology."

"We received feedback that the grips got a little slippery in humidity or when [a golfers] hands would sweat," Luna said. "The new texture feels fixes the problem."

The 1.0, 2.0, 3.0 and 5.0 will be available in the same six colors as the previous line: black, orange, red and lime green (pictured above), as well as in pink and blue.

I'll be getting one.  Had every other iteration so far, lol.  Looks 100x's better than the previous version. Well Done!

God Bless

Just in time for my next putter(s)...oh wait that's not until spring.

I hate the Midwest.

These look sweet. I have the ultra slim and wanted something bigger, but not the slim. So it looks like this is the ticket!

I wish they made some with less branding on them. Maybe different colors as well. Not just white with accents.

I agree. I like the feel but tone down the advertising.  Just my two cents as I know I didn't start the company but some solid color grips would be sexy.

So are the Ryder Cup grips actually 1.2 inches in diameter like the Mid Slim 2.0,?

I have a couple of the USA grips and they have the Cross Traction technology I think.

This looks good. I'm still not sure if my fatso feels too thick but have been putting pretty well with it so have kept it for now.

They look like great grips and I will have to give one a try, just wish they would get away from so much white as the grips get dirty very quickly and they are tough to clean

I agree, the branding is awful. I understand they probably want something that's legible on TV, but... I'm not on TV. I don't want to be a walking advertisement.

I hope they are not reverse taper like the Ultra Slim... I wanted to like it, but felt terrible. Their other grips are great, but why make one different from the rest?

This is interesting.  I have used superstroke since they come out.  I have used the slim & have the ultra slim on the two putters I own currently.  This will be perfect for me because I think the slim is a bit too big, but the ultra-slim is a bit too small.

This might replace the Tigershark, although a white/white or black/black wouldn't kill SS

+1. I didn't love the reverse taper either. Will likely check out the 2.0.

Does anyone know the weight of the grip?  Will it weigh closer to the slim lite or the slim?

I literally just got an ultra slim two weeks ago... I'm tempted to get the fatso hehe. Feels so nice and helps roll putts beautifully.

I also hated the reverse taper in the ultra slim. Would love a version of the grip that was the thickness a the top of the ultra slim the whole way down

There was a post in the putter forum about a release date in January. No specific date, said around the time of the PGA show.

I use a super stroke and I want to hate it but I see results from it. I personally think it looks ugly but I have such an easier time controlling tempo and face angle with it.

I asked this in the putter forum and was told 50 grams. Sounds like I'll be trying one of these as well.

I really like the new colors and having the new textured pattern will be a plus also (hot days)vs. the smooth.  Been using Superstroke for a couple years now and it has been a huge help on putts within 10ft.  Practicing helps too...... :tomato:

Really like my Ultra Slim on my SeeMore Si2 , helps with keeping my hands and wrists still during the stroke , just wish they would re-release the grips in solid colors. Mine is solid black with white letters and I saw them solid red with white letters, the splash colors out now get kind of grimy looking after a while, even after cleaning the white looks dingy
