Does anybody know for sure which  version #7 putter he is using ?

I know it is being reported as a White Hot XG # 7 but it seems to look a bit different.

You mean he's not using a Cobra Putter? OMG. GASP.

Will we see 19 page thread now? Doubt it. Cause the Callaway fanboys don't hate as much as the TMag fanboys do. Or gloat.

Hmm, alright...

Yes, he's using an Odyssey "White Hot XG #7" but it's a different color, the larger head size, and the different insert (as mentioned).  Basically, it's a model that us mortals can't easily get.  I would say the closest thing to what they are using is the White Hot Tour #7H (as stated above).  They're going for pretty pennies after the Ryder Cup.  Thankfully I already have quite a few in the vault!

And now Els has switched from Odyssey #1 to #7, according to pictures from the last tournament in China...

seems like alot of pros this year have given it a shot. it is a really good putter. kinda interesting why a design that has been around for a couple years has all of a sudden caught fire

when someone is successful, others take note.... LDs putting has been so good that others are trying his putter out to see if that is part of the equation.

I always check out the #7 when I go to Golfsmith or the Superstore, but every model looks like it has a closed face.

I find that too.  I think it may have to do with their flatter lie angle.  Odyssey's are 70, where most others are 71.
