Hi guys.

Are these two bags basically the same? From the pictures its really hard to see a beverage container, but the specs aays it has one. Anyone care to chime in?

Need a new bag.

Thanks!

My decision is down to those two bags, as well.  The best I can tell, the only differences are the placement of the beverage holder (middle behind the ball pockets on the Sun Mountain / on the left side of the Titleist 14 way) and minor design variations.  Hopefully someone else can chime in if they know of other differences.

I'm not sure about the newest versions of these. I went with four5 when I got mine last yr. because the harness was much better IMO. The were basically the same when I got mine except for the harness.

Having had both the Titleist 14-way and the 2012 Four 5, i can honestly say the Four 5 is the better bag, it just seems to be better made and the 3 pockets down the front are so useful, there is also more than enough pockets for everything else, the material on the Four 5 looks and feels better, both have the 14-way divider system, so much easier to sort your clubs, much better choice of colours, i can't see Sun Mountain who make the Titleist bags, making their flagship carry bag inferior to one they make for someone else....both great bags though, easy and light enough to carry or trolley...

Thanks for the pics Naths!  Do you mind sharing where you got your SM 4.5?  I have looked online at the 2012 model and I've never come across that color combo.  I really like it.

FWIW, I finally went away from my Titleist 14 way stand bag because of the lack of full (or fuller) length dividers.  I was really having problems with grips getting stuck together.  I've also since found the pockets to be much better for me on this OGIO Grom XX, primarily the "scorecard" pocket that I've found is great for holding my yardage device.  What I do miss about the Titleist bag is the lighter weight.  Pretty noticeable between them.  I usually walk and that extra pound or so feels like five when it's hot weather :-)

I actually just picked up the 2012 SM 4.5 yesterday in black. After comparing both I just liked the look of the SM a little better, as well as the placement of the water bottle holder. If you like the blue on the titleist better, I would grab that. They're both great bags.

hm...almost pulled the trigger...then I realized that maybe my super stroke light putter grip won't fit...any of you guys with either bag have a jumbo putter grip?

If you walk more than you ride, I'd strongly recommend going with the Sun Mountain Three 5 over the Four 5 (or Titleist 14 way).  That extra 1-1.5 lbs makes a big difference on the back 9!  I used the Four 5 briefly, but ended up going with the 'simpler' Three 5 and have enjoyed my walking rounds a lot more.  It also works perfectly fine on a cart.

The 2013 models look a little different in that the SM has some new grab handles arranged around the top that haven't found their way onto the Titleist. Love to hear from guys who have switched from the 2012 to 2013 models for real differences, given the deals available on the 2012 models

btw just to update the thread, I received my Titltiest bag, and I love it. If it wasen't for the color I was in love with, I wouldn't hesitate to get a 2012 4.5. I couldn't be happier with my bag!

Here in the UK it looks like the 2013 four 5 is the same as the US version, the Hybrid version isnt for sale in the UK by the look of it??, the 2012 four 5 in the UK was the same as the US Hybrid version, so in my opinion the 2012 four 5 is a better bag, they have the very handy extra storage pocket (range finder), and can be had at very good prices to, they dont do the white/red version either...lol
