Nike Golf introduced its new line of Covert Drivers, Woods and Hybrids for the 2012-13 season. You'll find plenty of visuals on the new Covert line: bold red paint, the unmistakable 'Swoosh' on the crown and large cavity, pushing perimeter weighting to its limits. One item you won't find however, is loft -- well, a single loft anyway.

The new Nike Golf Covert woods have Nike's FlexLoft system, which allows loft to be adjusted from 8.5 to 12.5 degrees. Edit: face angle is also adjustable and can be tweaked independently.



Drivers:
The 460cc Nike VR_S Covert Performance Driver will retail for $299 and come stock with a 50g Mitsubishi Kuro Kage 50g shaft.The Covert Tour Driver is 430cc, pear-shaped, and comes standard with a 60g Mitsubishi Kuro Kage shaft. Retail will be $399. Both will be available in February 2013.

Fairway Woods:
Adjustability thanks to FlexLoft will be available on the Tour model only. The 3 wood allows from 13-17 degrees of loft. The 5 wood from 17-21 degrees.

GolfWRX visited Nike Golf at The Oven in Fort Worth, Texas, where Nike Golf Engineer Robert Boyd gave us the inside scoop on the new Nike Golf Covert drivers and fairways.

I'm not too sure about these....  First question for me will be Sound.  I have a feeling this might be loud.  Second, I want to see how this new "flex loft" actually works.   Lastly, The red looks good to me.   I could play with it..

This is a BIG DEAL for Nike to beat TMAG to market with the Single Driver Technology... I would bet TMAG releases its Driver within 48 Hours! and it is SICK!

I'm not to crazy about the looks of these at all.  I never judge a book by its cover and will reserve ultimate judgment until I am able to hit them.  I was expecting a little bit more but I do love the adjustability factor.

We all know TM will be releasing the R1 to compete against this cub.  I'm more interested in the fwys and hybrids though and being able to adjust your lofts.  If TM does not do this with their new line they could loose some sales to the competitors.

have too say these are sweet looking clubs.  Nike continues to step up.  I think it's going to be a Nike and Callaway year with some TM.  After seeing all of these sweet clubs Titleist and Ping look like they are gonna get left in the dust.
