I just went through an in store fitting with the local Titleist rep, at the launch event at the local Golf Galaxy.  I will say I was really impressed by both the look, and the feel of the D3, but I was a bit concerned at the final fitting numbers.  The fitters suggestion was the 8.5 913D3 with the D+ 72 gram shaft.  The launch numbers were right at 13.5-14 degrees and the spin averaged around 2300-2600.  I was getting ball speeds consistently in the 150-155 range which is about my average as well.  the concern that I had was whether or not the launch numbers were a tad on the high side.  I did not have the luxury of an outdoor fitting so it is really hard to tell how it would have performed.  I know there are a lot of great Titleist fitters out there, so if anyone has any thoughts I would appreciate the help.  I just want to make sure I go with the right option before pulling the trigger.

I would think if the numbers were accurate you shouldn't have any problems with it being to high...should accually by quite perfect/optimum.
do you know what your landing angle was?

I do not think that it had that info.  It was one of the Foresight launch monitors I think.

On paper those are optimal for distance. Just depends on what you want on the course.

That launch angle is good for your swing speed. Any lower and you'd be hitting knuckle balls or worm burners.
