hey guys,

I've got a quick question regarding the 710 AP2s. I'm the proud owner of a 4-PW set, but would like to replace my Ping i10 3 iron with a matching 710 AP2 3 iron. The issue, as most of you are aware, is that the 712s have been out for some time. Does Titleist give the option of ordering single irons from older sets to customers? If that's the case, can custom shafts also be ordered?
From what I've read, Ping stocks old irons so that they can be purchased, or individual irons can be ordered directly from them. I was hoping I could do the same through a Titleist dealer and not have to buy a 712 AP2 iron instead.

Pretty sure Titleist only stocks current models. eBay is your best shot.

So, in the case one of your irons gets stolen, Titleist can't help you out?
I was thinking about ebay, but my issue is that I'm a lefty and I'm in Italy. An option would be to find a listing for a 3-PW set and ask the seller if he'd be willing to sell only the 3 iron. I was hoping it'd be easier to go through Titleist.

You might try calling Titleist customer service and ask them. They may know the answer to your question.

I was able to go to GG in mid September and have them order a 710 ap1 3 iron with a custom shaft.  I figured with the new line of product out that I wouldn't be able to.   Sure enough Titleist still had them.  I think your best bet would be to go to whatever your local golf store is and have contact Titleist.

A left 3 iron shouldn't be that hard to find on ebay.

I also posted this question on the UK Team Titleist page, but I figured it'd be easier to find out on WRX since there are loads of Titleist retailers on here. I'm going to give them a call today to find out though.

That's awesome. I'll give Titleist a call to find out whether that's possible in the UK/Europe and then place the order through my go-to store if they will let me. If that's not an option, I'll try to go through one of the retailers here in Milan.

Finding a single 710 AP2 3-iron that's being shipped from the UK or Europe is pretty hard to find. I'm trying to avoid going through ebay.com as they will hit me with both high shipping costs and customs duties and it'd be most likely be cheaper and less of a hassle to go buy a 712 instead.

To update the threat, the guys over at the UK Team Titleist were extremely helpful. Here's the response I got from them, in case somebody has a similar issue in the future.



Hi Andef,
I am advised that we have stock of the heads and the shafts, but not the grips that were on 710 AP2s. The only issue therefore would be perfectly matching the swingweight, although we would build to achieve a target swingweight.
You can therefore ask your pro / authorised Titleist retailer to place a custom order, making sure that they specify 710 very clearly on the order.

GIve Doug a call at Discount Dan's.  He hooked me up with a 710 AP2 gap wedge directly from Titleist.  So easy to deal with.

thank you for the help, but I won't be in the US until the start of the first semester of the 2013-2014 academic year, so I would like to fill this void in my bag before the start of the season.
