I've heard great things about the G20 woods, and the 7 wood is an inch longer, at 42 inches, so potentially that might add a few yards.
It might be worthwhile trying the RBZ 7 wood as it has a "normal" 7 wood loft at 21 degrees but a long shaft at 42.5 that is at least as long or longer than other brands 5 wood shafts. In retrospect I wish that I had tried the RBZ 7W myself when I was club shopping this year! Or even the RBZ 9 wood that is the same length, but 24 degrees (close to many 4 hybrids in other brands).
Back to your original hybrid question: The RBZ 4H night work for your friend, but I've tried out the RBZ hybrids (and some woods,) indoors and didn't like them. (As above, I didn't try the RBZ 7 or 9 woods.) Maybe because I was comparing the RBZ's out by the club number on the bottom - they are so long in the shaft . They are jacked up so much in loft that the 4H (22 degrees) is closer to some 3 hybrids and the length at 40.5 is 1/2 inch longer than my G20 3H.
The G20 hybrids are great and high and forgiving. They are tipsoft, so though the senior shaft might be the consideration for the speed, it might be too flexible. I was fitted for a senior (faster speed than your friend) and reshafted them for something more skookum.
He might need the 3H to get to the 170-175 range he wants. At that speed from my own experience (though I'm faster) and playing with seniors, a 4H at that speed may be around 155-165 , more club needed for past that.
I guess what I'm suggesting is though it is a gift, if you can take your friend to a store with good selection and get him/her to hit a bunch of possible choices!

Thanks all for the feedback and especially to the above poster for the thoughtfulness. It's a gift for my dad, and he's currently got the 3 and 7 wood of the 2006 big Bertha set. Can't get the 3 wood off the ground and can't hit the 7 wood to save his life for some reason. Tops it the majority if the time. Funny this is he picks up his 5-iron and hits it pretty dang well, albeit it only goes 150 or so!
My first thought was to get him an Rbz 7 wood but I don't think he feels comfortable hitting woods off the deck for some reason. thats why I'm leaning towards hybrid as he hits his long irons well.
Thanks again all for the feedback and if someone has a magic hybrid that goes as high and far as a 7 wood should feel feed to enlighten me!

Another cheaper option night be the Nickent 7dx 5h. It was my 175y club earlier this season but I felt the R flex was a bit too stout for my swing speed. Should have reshafted it. Oh we'll.

Another option I failed to mention above is the Nike VR_S hybrid. I had the 4h which is 24*. It was my 180club. Got rid of it and regretted it until I got the RBZ.
