So, I'm stuck at the car dealership getting maintenance done and wishing I were on the course. I'm day dreaming about Wolf Creek in Mesquite, NV. I played his course several years ago on a vacation and I had a blast there. If I could play a famous course I'd hit up Augusta! Where would you go/rather be?

Just in case the first response gets an all expense paid trip to their choice I'll say Pebble Beach. The weather looks to be nice there today.

I'm happy where I am.

I grant that there is some attraction to see those famous places and even give them a try, but truthfully I am already surrounded by some very nice courses each of which have their own beauty and challenges, albeit not famous therefore accessible at an affordable cost.

Cypress Point.  I hear it is next to impossible to get on there.  I had a friend that actually played there and said words can't describe it!

After 40 years of playing, I've lost my passion.  I still love the game, but working three days at a course has drained me of the desire to play on off days, even if it's free.  For the time being anyway.

That's what new interests are made for - like heading to the shooting range.  Can't wait to get there tomorrow and work on tightening my groups.  Next up, learning to handload 45 Long Colt for my Blackhawk.

I feel like a kid again!

Dismal River. There's nothing dismal about it!

Right now...any course would be great.   Weather has turned colder and the days are short....so my evening golf/range time is pretty much done and weekend golf is all dependent on the weather (and college football TV schedules).

No where else but where I am right now... Hilton Head.

Just played the Harbour Town course and happy with my 85 from the blues, with two 3 putts, and a 6 on 17 trying 3 shots out of the finger bunker on the right.

Played Hilton Head National yesterday and playing the Jones course tomorrow at Palmetto Dunes.
