I have, and game, a Scotty 2003 Maple, 2009 U.S. Open, 2010 British Open, 2012 Cameron Club, 2012 U.S. Open. Also a bunch of OTR covers (a couple yellow Studio Designs, a Studio Select, Pro Platinum, etc.)

I figure it's not worth having unless you use them. Although I do have 2 Maples. One I keep nice.

I also usually bring my putter/headcover in with me when I go into the pro shop or clubhouse. Just in case.

I have a small collection of limited putters.  I don't game the headcovers from my collection.  I've owned several OTR putters and always game those.  What I typically do is buy a SC headcover that matches the colors on my bag and then game it.  For example, I have a red/grey bag and I game a red Circa 62 headcover.  My previous bag was black and gold and I gamed a black and gold Cameron club cover.

I don't collect covers, so if I buy a cover, I buy it to game it.

I have the 2010 US Open Mermaid "by the sea" for my NP 2...I use it as it is different, my daughter likes it a.k.a. Little Mermaid, and my dad and I attended that Open so it gives good memories and vibes...and it is green...

Don't have any others but I like the idea of collecting them...

At some point I will get a Napa (LH) and the cover as I used to live there and that would be cool...

The only headcover that I have is a Scotty headcover, and I want to protect my putter, so I use it.

I am looking into getting a custom cover but have not pulled the trigger yet.

I have a Newport Mid-Slant Pro Platinum that I bought used without a headcover. I bought a new Pro Platinum headcover off the Bay for like $25. I have a 14 way divider bag and the headcover would get scrunched up. I put a tube in the bag with some socks stuffed in it to keep the putter head above the top of opening. This kept the headcover elevated. I decided to go to a bigger grip and it wouldn't fit tin the tube. I finally said the heck with keeping the cover all neat and tidy and just let it scrunch up in the bag opening. Hell, it  wasn't but $25, why not use it. Now if it was a collector, I would game it, but be more particular.

The ones I game are the 2010 Hammy Hula, 2012 Red leather Hula, 1/500 Red JYD, 2012 Ghost, I will soon be opening and gaming my 2012 Cinco and 2011 cinco If I can find one when I move to El Paso Tx.

Using a Cameron headcover is basically daring someone to steal your putter.  Ive seen a few Cameron, "Kohler" headcovers on Ebay that are pretty cool but A.) Im not about to pay $100-$200 for a putter cover and B.) I dont want someone to steal my putter.

I have 5 Scotty release headcovers and game only 2 of them - Boise Potato for my Newport 2 and the US Open Smiley for my GoLo.
I have yet to decide what to do with my TCC 2012 headcover, 2012 PGA headcover, 2012 Vegas headcover. Lately I find myself collecting these things if I like them.

A few here in this bag.  I have several of the PGA Gator Majors still new in the bag and one as my full time gamer.

My only problem with gaming a collector Scotty cover is that you are making it twice as tempting for a dirtbag to reach their grubby hands into your unattended bag and take it.  Now, we obviously would never EVER leave our Scottys unattended, but why risk it?  That being said, I don't collect Scotty covers, but I still don't use the stock cover for the same reason.

Haven't had a problem with a Scotty head-cover attracting thieves to my bag; but every single time I have left a Scotty cover or had one fall out/off  the cart unknowingly, I have never had it returned or found it on the backtrack. It is like they go to a special place all their own, never to be found.

I rotate my gamer with the stock yellow studio design, 2012 Vegas, 2012 Cali Sea Mist carbon, Red Junk Yard Dog, and my fav the Tour Rat. I don't believe in keepin them on the shelf just to collect dust, you only live once so might as well look good.

I used to collect... Then I realized that they're headcovers, and what good are they if I store them in my home and don't share them with the world.  So I sold them off and started buying ones I'd use.  Got a few customs as well.  I buy nearly every Scotty release and wait till it gets here in person to see if it's my style.  If it is, I keep it and game it for a while then sell it (unless I don't get sick of it).  If I end up getting a special, I don't game those, because I know collectors want those and it'd be a shame for me to use something that rare, so I sell those (and it supports my habit, lol).

To be honest, I also have cover BNIB (Skull and Bones, some Limited CCC).  But I only seem to game the Club Cameron ones.

I really don't want to attract too many eyes on my bag so this has me playing a older CC covers.

I use mine, but constantly switch putters and headcovers, so nothing has ever been gamed that long.   So most of mine are in perfect condition, just sitting on backup putters in my basement.

I understand why some people keep them in the original packing bags, but that's not for me.   The ones I buy I plan on keeping forever.  I like opening them up and putting them to use.

I have some great SC covers, but do not use them often. I travel a lot and use  a custom cover..Not worried about losing the headcover, just the putter.

Reminds me of when my wife collected beanie babies...hey guys sell 'em while you got 'em...cause they aren't going to be worth jack squat in a few years.

Good investment = buy low sell high
Scotty head cover=buy high, wish I could sell.

I have a Kholer cover that will never see the light of day. I live in WI and went to that PGA so it has sentimental value. I am thinking about buying another so I can game one and keep one safe. Other than that I am now on to gaming one cover for a season and then retiring it while it still looks decent. I'm on a Halloween kick as of now. Bogey Monster was in the bag all season and will be replaced this year by Skeledog. I'm thinking the witches will be flying for me in '14.
