Just wondering if anyone has heard chatter of new iron offerings from Adams this year?  I know the Idea Tech V4s are out, but was wondering if the CB3's will be replaced or not.  I know they were a newer product this year.  Thanks for any insight/info.

I think you'll start to see longer life cycles and fewer models for iron sets, especially better players irons, now that TM is in full control.

$479 at kingdom 59.  $599 for standard and custom fit sets at golf galaxy and golfsmith.

I just ordered a set from our pro who gave me the $599 price.  I can't wait till they show up...

That's exactly why I thought something new was coming down the pipe.  I knew the CB3 prices have dropped off the cliff recently.  I've seen a couple of really good looking sets on the BST for around $400 recently.

I'm excited to see what they have to offer.  I love my A7 irons, but I'm thinking its time for an upgrade.

I hope all this means that I can pick up a set of A12 pros for cheap. I really wanted them last year but didn't want to spend the cash. Hopefully I can get them cheaper now.

I don’t believe they will be releasing any new clubs. Taylormade released the latest technology in the Rocketbladez. Taylor made bought this technology when they bought Adams. Adams probably dropped the prices to raise revenue for CB3 before the end of the year.  Taylormade may be attempting to price point the irons from Adams.

I give it 5 years and Adams will be obsolete.  I hope the Adams family made enough money from the sale.

Adams will be sticking to their name... TM is going to drop serious coin into promoting the lines.  Adams is a different market then TM and the plan is to drive Adams to the 2nd biggest golf brand, behind TM.
I think big things are in the future for Adams, now that it has the TM marketing $$ and brains behind them... like it or not, TM has been very succesful in the marketing department.

And I think there are going to be alot of loyal TM customers looking into Adams now, which will help...

I would say TM's plan for Adams is to be the market leader in Hybrid/Super Hybrid/ Fairway woods. They have the brand image to dominate that niche market with TM's marketing dollars.  Complimented by its SGI lines with a splash of player CB/MB's on a slower product life cycle.

1 question. Why would TM spend money in adams golf marketing when TM can absorb their R&D department(one of the best in golf) and give TM more market share?

How is adams a different market than Taylormade? Im confused because I thought they both sold golf clubs?

Because Mark King has said that he would not do that! The company has a defined Niche' Market on top of Hybrids... so they will continue to use that! many people, myself included like the seperation, while the R&D Dpts can share technology, I like the adams line in Hybrids and Irons and TMAG fairway woods and Driver...

WHY twice the expenses for just a line of hybrids? Why not just change TM hybrids?

It's not even close to twice the expenses.  They eliminate the redundant and expensive departments.  Raw material prices drop drastically, by combining with the TM juggernaut.

Sales and marketing dept. was the problem at Adams.  No coincidence that the new president of Adams was the vp of sales for TM.

The lack of forged clubs in the TM line, and forged clubs at every level in the Adams line point to the future for Adams.  They are aiming the brand at better players.

Adams isn't obsolete in 5 years, they're Mizuno with woods.
