That's what I was asking as well. Yet, everyone has a driver that they perceive to be hotter than the next, without taking the science into account.  I agree with forgiveness being probably the biggest factor as far as the head is concerned, hitting more off center hits straighter with less loss of distance. For me, the "hotter" is in the shaft. And of course, the pretty!

They are all .830, but that isn't all there is to it.

Another oldie but a goodie- the HipTi 420. Just came back from the range where it flew past the Adams by a fairly good margin.
I forgot how solid it feels too... back in the bag it goes.

lol at this thread... technically speaking, wouldnt the hottest face be one that exceeds the COR?  I guess I will go with the Callaway ERC then....

Agree with this post. To be honest though, all the Cleveland Classics feel pretty good. Also, I would have to agree the Ping i20 or even G20 are pretty good.

Adams Launch Lab Driver is very impressive.  Also jBeam 435 (Japanese driver) goes a long way.  Both outdrive my Callaway Razr Fit, which is one of the longer U.S. drivers I have played.

Everyone will give you the "COR" line...

People equate "hot face" to a feel more than anything...

I've hit them all, and play an adjustable for no reason other than I just like the combo I have (I've never even touched the settings since it was built)...but, I will say that the Cleveland Classic 290 is the real deal, and for an experimental driver, can be had very cheap.
