Teevons -- love those two red/white/blue bags on the right -- had one like them but didn't have the Hogan along the side panels, only on the ball bag.  My father had a set of those Speed Slot woods -- they fascinated me when I was a kid.  But he swapped them away for something.  Oh well.

I don´t care if my clubs represent any significant economic value. Economically I´d probably be a lot better of if I´d never got involved in golf. Still I consider every dollar (we don´t have dollars in Sweden but nevermind) I´ve spent on golf wisely invested. Laminated clubs can be very cool and play as well as the real thing (persimmon). I enjoy my Wilson Billy Casper Super Power laminated driver with the (now outlawed) Reminder grip and I drive the ball as godd 8or bad, rather) with that club as I do with my Powerbilt Citation or any of my many persimmon drivers. I collect vintage clubs stricktl for fun. For my own pleasure. As I said: Money well spent!

Yeah, if I was looking at this as an investment the last thing I'd ever do with any of my clubs is swing them.

Looking through my "collection", I see a set of Ben Hogan Laminated Speed Slot woods, driver, 3,4,5 woods, circa 1980's.  I bought them about 10 years ago at a second hand golf shop for $ 2 a club.  $ 8 plus tax.  Maybe they were cheap due to LH.  They're in really great original condition, all I did was lightly sand the 3 wood face and then polish all the metal soles.  I play with them on occasion, and cover them with very old red and white pom pom headcovers.  Those covers make any black carry bag (using a Sun Mountain X Sunday bag currently) look vintage and classic.

When I worked as a club refinisher , I did a lot of Hogan plywood Speed Slots. Almost every one had the lead weight coming out of the soleplate at the insert!
Never found this on any other make of club.
I removed the lead and repoured it. Then I used a Philips screwdriver and pounded several times into the lead to spread it against the hole. Never had one come back.
