I just heard that Justin Leonard dropped the TM MBTPs for the new RBZ tour irons.  It seems like these are making the bags of even old school blade players now...

I currently play AP2's. The other day i went into work and brought my 6 iron and pulled a 6i from the set in the back room and did my own testing. Giving each club 7 shots and deleting the high and low, the Rocketballz were 18 yards longer, which did not surprise me at all. I mean, these are distance irons that are .15" longer and 4.5* stronger than my player's irons. What absolutely blew me away was that even though they were stronger and longer, they launched 4.7* higher!!! Its nuts. Taylormade has got something here folks. I can't wait till the tour version comes out, i will be first in line to try and most likely first in line to BUY!

Most places should have the tours to try late next week or early the following week. You can then pre- order them.

rocketbladez are long.  7i was going 10-12 yards further than my 6i.  feel was different but not too bad.  didn't really have a mishit. thinned a couple but they still launched way up there.

I think mishits are where these will shine.  My first round out with them, I hit some nasty toe jobs, out where the scoring lines stop and the chrome starts.  I expected to see my four iron go about 150, but then I get up to my ball and I'm 200 out!  Replicated this a couple times with different numbered irons.  TM definitely has something here.

I just went to a friend of mine who happens to own a Golf USA store and hit the Rocketblades irons.  I only hit the 6 iron on the launch monitor and I was blown away.  I play the "09 Burners and a well struck 6 iron on my best day is 175-180ish, but the Rocketladez 6 iron was around 208 to 212ish.  Getting fit my him tommorrow afternoon for these irons because they are bad a** irons.

So I had a question for those who might know.  The non-Tour version of these 4-AW sells for $799 at most retailers.  Once the Tour version hits the stores at $899, is that the price for 4-AW or 4-PW or what?  Anyone work at a sporting goods store and able to verify?

its for 8 pcs (either set)... and you should be able to mix and match upon getting custom fit (add a 3 irons, or more wedges, etc)...
