I have a Adams Speedline F11 10.5 degree driver, with a Matrix Xcon 6.1 stiff shaft, which I bought new. While regripping it recently, I discovered a label at the top of the shaft that says "NIKE CLUB". What do you guys think of this? Was it a nike shaft that was sold to adams? Why would Adams put a Nike shaft into a driver? Here's a picture.

Question is where did you buy the driver? We need full disclosure if you want an answer.

If you bought it from ebay, well then there is your answer...

The driver was ordered through my club, directly from adams. No ebay here.

I use to work for an OEM and we would get other companies shafts on rare occasions. I'm sure some would sneak by QC eventually.

Another possibility would be the shaft manufacturer could have used the wrong sticker.

I'm not sure, but I just re gripped my three wood that has a matrix shaft and it says the tourqe is "0.0". Maybe some QC issues.

Well, the stories I have heard most often are: my driver head was taking a shower, then it "slipped" and that's how it got in there...........or...........it "3 guys broke into my apartment and they put this shaft in my driver....."

Hey buddy, got a light?

Not at all. It's a navy blue tp7 in strong flex, it's actually a very smooth feeling shaft. I figured it must just be a misprint.

I had the same thing happen to me on an Adams club earlier this season...An adams F11 Ti with stock VooDoo shaft ...I remember thinking that it was weird especially with it being the stock shaft but the club performed so I didnt give it much thought after I put the new grip on...

No issues, but there's a fair story behind that shaft if you are interested

Nike was the previous owner of Adams. My Adams pro hybrid had the same thing under the grip and when I spoke to the rep at our pro shop, he said that they share the shafts and could have Nike in an Adams etc.

Soon you will see TM stickers under your Adams grips lol
