I know the soft feel is slightly lower compression and designed for slightly slower swing speeds but what's the real difference when playing these balls on the course?
The reason I ask is I am thinking of using this type of ball for the winter and the q star (ad333) here in the uk is 15 doz and I have found an offer on the soft feel for 21 3 doz?

If you look around you may be able to get slightly cheaper on the ad333 as long as you don't mind playing orange balls - I got a dozen a few weeks ago for 11.

Back to your initial point, i've been trying out Srixon balls recently - the ad333 do feel more solid than the soft feel, and I've found them to be less forgiving than the soft feel on mishits.

TBH, the Z Star and TriSpeed were probably my favourite - I just picked up 50 used Z Star for 30 on eBay as my winter balls; as long as you don't mind using used balls, then that could be another option. At this time of year though, I don't feel a huge amount of difference between balls after the tee because of wet and muddy course conditions.

IMO, the Q-Star is a superior ball in every way.  I actually always preferred the AD333 to the Soft Feel.

The Q-Star is a great ball, I get them for free very often as my home course has sponsorship with Srixon/Cleveland, so I find them all over the course and the guys in the shop occasionally give them out, great feel offf the club and soft off the putter face.

The qstar is harder and will spin more around the greens.

So far I have not found anything better for me than the QStar it just preforms at all levels for me compared to the proline balls.  I had always hoped that someone would make a ball similar to the e6 but have greenside spin and my prayers were answered with the QStar.
