Hey guys,

Just picked up some Tourstage X-Blade CBs.  I can't wait to take them out on the course.  I have a feeling I may have started something that I can't stop though......

Haha, sounds like I was right.  It really does seem like nothing compares on the US market to some of the beautiful clubs coming out of Japan.

Ah yes, I do like Scratch.  Not all are still made in Japan, but the ones I bought are from a few years ago anyway.

Forget your toes, Man.  Whip out that Amex, call up the Samurai and just go hog-wild.  Contrary to popular belief - you really CAN buy a game.

I didn't even know they made golf clubs in Japan until about a year ago and now everthing in my bag is from over there.....My index has dropped from 6.8 to 6.5.  Worth every penny.

Fair point...my putter is still an old 1960s model Titleist Tour blade.......but just go ahead and bite the bullet and step up to some Japanese technology.

It's a slippery slope. In June I had no JDM. It's October and my whole bag is JDM and I am acquiring backups for my backups.

I have my eyes on some Tour Stage irons as well, but also love the J-40's. What are the differences between Bridgestone and Tour Stage...any quality or performance differences?

After my range session and round today I can give a decent review. I have a demo set of the j40 CBs so I'll show some differences and similarities. The Tourstages I got are a few years old so not exactly the same design as the j40, but similar. I think Bridgestone makes very high quality irons already, but Tourstage seems even better. The feel from puring a Tourstage  iron is 2nd to none. The j40s are great, but x-blades are even better. Like I said, I'll post some pics soon comparing them.

OK, so after taking pictures, I still can't believe the price I got these for $300.  They are a few years old, but look as though they only saw the range a few times. The original sticker with all club specs was still on the 5 iron! Anyway,to the pics!

Thanks for posting the contrasting pics. Those tour stages are beauties.....and they look to be forgiving, yet still have a player's club profile. At $300, you got a great set!

I won a Tourstage X-Drive 901 driver ( 9.5* with Diamana Kai'li 60 ) this weekend and am planning on (good Lord willing) adding a set of Tourstage X-Blade 901 irons to the mix.

ahhhhhhhhhhh excelent......... def reshaft these... i just reshafted 2 sets of mine and they are fabulous.. x-100  and NS proto ORA.. these  are my fav miura heads... nout wrong with them at all...!

I am a lover of JDM irons also. I have a small collection including 2005 Tourstage X blades, Tourstage TS 201's and some epon AF tours. All great heads and the quality of finish is very high. Just recently I got hold of a set of PRGR TR900 MD and they are amazing. Soft as butter, beautiful looking, fantastic neo blade design and are all round wonderful to play.
The point I wish to make is that all these irons I got in great used condition relatively cheaply. A bit of selective ebay hoing. The TR900 MD were about $400 and in pretty much mint condition. You can play JDM for less than a set of callaway off the rack shovels.
