Thanks.

I must say that the Hybrid feels awesome with the X100 in it! I love the heavy feel.
And the funny thing is that I´m actually hitting the ball higher with the steel in it. I didn´t except that.

The question now is how long I can wait before building a 3 wood and driver with steel :D

I have started my very first clubbuilding project (without help from anyone else I mean). One driver and one 3 wood. Both with steel shaft.
Yesterday I invested in a heat gun. Cheap, but it seems to do the work
I have pulled the speeder shaft out of my R510 TP driver and the 3-wood is an old Cleveland launcher 13 degree.
For the driver I have prepared a DG X100 tipped 1 1/4 and an S300 tipped 2 3/4 for the 3-wood. Right now I´m only waiting for the ferrules to arrive! The driver will play 43,75" and the 3-wood 42".

Fun experiment, even if my girlfriend is not as thrilled over me converting the apartment to a workshop :derisive:

Steel project completed! Can´t wait to try them out :golfer:
Yesterday I had the chance to check the swing weight on my "new" irons. Turned out that they play D0. I thought they felt light :)
Operation lead tape has now started...I´ve added 10g on my 7 iron to start with. Ugly as hell, but I prefer feeling the club when I´m swinging. Maybe this is my big winter project. To fix the weight on my irons :)

I have done quite some work on my bag lately. Re-gripping, shaft swapping, paint fill, swing weight adjustment, and more.

For some reason I decided to PIMP my set in blue. It started very innocent with the white-blue "whiteout" grips in a few clubs. Then I just happen to paint my irons in blue. And later stumbled on some white-blue ferrules on ebay. So now I have a nice winter project on going.

I only have two clubs left to paintfill. But I´m waiting for shaft extensions so I can add 0,5" to my irons. (I´ve played +0,5" for years and I´m not comfortable with my "new" standard length irons at all.) After that I will put on the matching grips and use my new toy (swing weight scale from golfworks) to get the desired swing weight.

I think I will have a pretty nice setup when this is over. I love projects! I´m not sure if my girl friend feels the same though hehe.

Yesterday I pulled the miyazaki out of my SL290 and replaced it with a DG Sensicore X100 44" shaft. Tried it today and it feels amazing!
I also had a Titleist adapter laying around, so I put in a similar shaft in that one. 7,5 degrees and steel, I don´t like the head as much as the Cleveland. But it´s playable :)

The putter in the picture is a nice Cleveland VP 2 that I haven´t used for some time. I decided to cut it to 34" and to add some weight inside the shaft before I ofcourse used a blue superstroke grip to match the rest of my arsenal. I´ve done some putting with it now and I must say that it feels so much better like this :P

I will post more pictures when I have the rest of the clubs in place! :)

I live in a smallish apartment and don´t have a nice workbench unfortunately. I use the kitchen table :)
To put on new grips and to cut shafts I go to my girlfriends father and use his stuff.

- To pull shafts I use a home made hydraulic puller that works great.
- I recently bought a economy swing weight scale from Golfworks. It does the work.
- I put together a simple spine finder tool that I use as well.

It´s a lot of fun doing it yourself! :)

i bought a drain pan from golf works and a vise for grips
waiting to pull the trigger on a shaft extractor and heat gun

-11 degress Celsius today and snow on the ground. A perfect day to continue my project :)

I´ve managed to get the extensions in place, +0,5". I´ve also put on the new grips. I was going to finish the asembly but then I noticed that the swing weights I have don´t fit in to these shafts :( So I have some work left to do there...The irons are currently in the D0-2 range, and I´m working for D4-D5.

We are planing a trip to somewhere with better golf climate at the end of january. Hopefully I will have a good looking set ready by then :)

I think this will be my 2013 setup more or less. I will probably go after a nice driver and maybe a putter or two hehe.

Added a new driver to my setup recently. R11s 9 deg. with a Matrix 7M3 Black Tie shaft. Wanted to try that combo for a long time.  I also bought some extra adapters to try it with my AD DI (used in my D3 last season) and Xcaliber shaft as well.
The D3 does now have a Miyzazaki Dromos 72x installed :)

Since we have a few more months of snow ahead of us I will probably find some more interesting stuff :slow_en:

One thing I´m curious about, is how a Driver, 3w, 5w, 3-9i, 48, 54, 60 wedges + putter setup would work for me. The winter is a dangerous time!

I like the bag!  I've been thinking about putting an S400 in my Adams a7 as well... I just like the feel of steel.  How long do you play it to and what does it swingweight to with the x100?  I haven't pulled the head and have no idea what the headweight is.

I cut it to the same length as the stock shaft I had in it before. I believe it´s 40" and D5,5 swing weight. Only played it for a few rounds before the season ended, but I only have great things to say about the combo :)

I found them at "flaminggolf".
If I should by today I would choose rockettour instead. They have some really nice ones :)

So your hybrid is playing heavier than your irons? Is that correct? I have DG S300's at D4 in my irons and I am putting the matching shaft in my hybrid, was curious as to what I should swing weight it to.

Yep, that´s correct. I don´t know if it´s optimal, but at least it felt good to me during the rounds I tried it :)
Time will show if I keep it like that. I have a nice xcaliber shaft laying around that I would like to try as well hehe.

Some winter training today. The balls felt likes stones but it was fun watching the ball fly again :)

Had the opportunity to try Callaway´s X prototype utilty in a launch monitor. Felt awesome! So now I have to order a 21 degree I´m afraid. And then I have to many clubs in the bag again. Hm.. :taunt:
