Sydney Chung, Jackson native and senior at Madison Academic, won the Tennessee 1A-AA State Championship yesterday. He carded a 75-71 to win by two strokes at Willowbrook golf course in Manchester, TN.
Always great to see one of Jackson's juniors do so well!

i played in the same tournament. the "barons triangle" at willowbrook can really trip you up if you arent hitting it well.

Congratulations for a strong showing, Evan. Describe the "Barons triangle" for us, sounds challenging.

Triangle doesn't really cover it as its  5 holes.
13-short par 4 with ob both ways. I took 8 here on day one.
14-mid length par 4 with ob right and woods left.
15-mid par 4 with ob right and woods left
16- really tight par 5 with ob both ways. Easily hardest on the course
17- par 3 of about 185 with water on both sides.

Really tough stretch of holes there. If you can play those at even or a couple over then you can tear the rest up.
