Just picked up my first ever SeeMore and this one has an insert which feels great   Seemore Si2, not sure what this insert is made of and it is milled along with the face of the putter. Very happy with the feel of this putter insert.

I miss the original Isoforce insert, plus the honeycomb design was awesome.

Worst, I will continue to pile on STX and the Nubbins.

Best:  PING isoforce Ti 124 pixels this is my current gamer - switch out an old Anser magnese Bronze from time to time.
Worst:  White Hot steel - could never get the distance correct on any put.

Worst dishonorable mention:  Ping Isopur and the new Scottsdale series with the white inserts. Both just horrible IMO.

Best: TeI3 and NC Grey Matter

Worst: I hated the Ping IsoPur.

On the Nubbins: I bought one because it was Del Mar style and only 10 bucks. Actually putted great with it until it rained or got moisture on the face...the ball would just shoot out randomly.

Good call on the Grey Matter, those were some good feeling putters.  Maybe time for a remake NC?

For some reason I love the Ping iWi insert.  I don't know what it's made of but I love it.  As for the worst, I haven't tried enough insert putters to know that many haha.

I don't have a favorite, but I'd putt for the next 5 seasons with a nubbins before I'd game anything stx makes. They're both terrible, but in different degrees.

I wonder of stx would make me some pillows from that insert material? They'd be so soft and cushy.

Worst was Ping Isoforce. The insert reminds me of those Crystal covered balls.

Best Odyssey Dual Force 660. I bought one for my Dad for Father's Day and took it back the next day.

I am seriously considering an Odyssey to give some softer feel. Want to see the 2013 Odysseys

I have no worst. The only putter I've ever gamed was a Ping Pal2, ss. Bought it new in the early '90s.

Bought a Ping Craz-E iWi series last year. Changed the grip and the stock weights. It is now my Holy Grail. Don't even want to try something else. (At the risk of making a bad impression on anyone, I don't try someone else's)
DRIVER: Ping G20, 9.5° w/169D-Tour, reg (Back up: Srixon Z-rw, 9.5°, stf)
3+W: Srixon Z-Steel, 12.5°, stock SV3005J, stf. (In rotation: 3W, 14.5°)
5W: Srixon Z-Steel, 18.5° stock SV3005J, stf
IRONS: Ping i20, 3-PW, stock CFS reg @ D2,
Red Dot
PUTTER: Ping Craz-E iWi, w/2x20gr weights, Lamkin Jumbo pistol grip
WEDGES: Ping Glide, 54° SS, 60° TS, stock Ping wedge shafts

BALL: Srixon XV
CART: SunMountain V1, STEWARTGOLF Z1
BAG: SM H2N0, PING C-130
BACK UP: Ping S58, 3-Pw, stock CS-Lite, stf, @ D2. (Lofts jacked to S55 specs.)

Thank you to the thread gods. I read this yesterday, putted terribly today and bought an Odyssey White Ice DART this afternoon.

I had actually been waiting to get one o the new Ping TRs, new Odyssey Versa (whatever that is), or a TM Spider. I wanted an insert that was softer than my Scottys to keep me playing the 20XI-X.

I used to hate any and all inserts...Until I tried the White Ice. I love it in my 2-Ball Blade. Perfectly Balanced...Not too hard...Not too soft. And assuming the C-Grooves on Yes! putters don't count as an insert...White Ice gets my vote.

Worst I have ever felt...Seemore Si Series...It felt like some cheap plastic melting around the ball every time you hit it.

I didn't see any mention of Carbite Brass Balls insert. Sorry if I missed it.  That putter series was not my cup of tea. Ball came off the face like a grenade being launched.  When I went to the PGA show a long time ago their booth had some of the largest chested women in it wearing Brass Balls t shirts so I gave them props for that and bought one of those pieces of garbage.

Everyone brings up a great point.  Did anybody ever test these inserts vs. one another?  Feel is one thing but how does the ball roll off the putter with so many different inserts?

Will Golf Digest ever do an insert test?
