I have a XG #7 with a White ice insert and heavy weight. It's a Tour Issue just like Luke Donald's, it belonged to a guy from Callaway.

I would kill for this putter...

pretty sure Donald's putter is a White Hot XG 7h, with a XG insert but without the 'bumps' on the standard XG finish, bronze finish.  i don't think he plays the white ice insert, but yes, a putter like Donald's is impossible to find, i've tried.  poulter's putter looks like a copy of donald's except it has a single sight line rather than the alignment dots.  my current putter is the Ghost Spider, but it's gonna do battle with a Rife Barbados black and White Ice #7 for '13.  i'm clearly a fan of high MOI, stable putters..

What's the difference in feel / performance / etc in the white ice 7 and the white tour 7h?

the xg insert is softer then the white ice.  Personally I think the white ice is a much better insert.

Got one of these mint on eBay last week for 60 shipped with a new Winn triple line grip installed. The damn thing swings itself. Point and shoot if there ever was one

I play the WI #7 right now and I couldn't be happier. Like Gmachine said, the Metal-X version is smaller and, IMO, a little cramped. Plus, I like the softer insert quite a bit more than the aluminum zester. It's funny--both the #7 and TM Ghost Manta both struck me as eyesores when I first saw them, but they roll putts better than any other styles I have tried.

I'm not a TM person at all, but the Ghost Manta is right there with the White Ice #7.  The Manta has the same stability, possibly a little smoother roll and easier to align.

I ended up picking up the metal x and have yet to take it outdoors to see how it plays. Got it for $75 so it was to hard not to pass up on it

I reckon they'd sell a few milled ProType Black #7s, if they made 'em.

IMHO the older Black Series I No 7 was the best of the bunch.  Heavier head weight in the 33 and 34 inch shaft, the tungsten weights as the 'fangs' and a smaller overall head size.  Putter great with this until tossed It at my bag after a very rare 4 putt and one of the 'fangs' snapped off.  What an idiot!! Odyssey couldn't repair it and none of the newer No7s came close in feel in my view.

To the poster who asked about comparing the No7 to the Yes Sandy, after many failed attempts to replace the No7 I eventually picked up a Yes Sandy in the pro's 2nd hand bin.  Now it's the old style Sandy, not the No7 'lookalike', but its been a stayer in the bag and even the new style Sandy could not kick it out - the new polymer filled sound slot on the new model just didn't work for me.

Now if Odyssey would make a milled face No7 Protype model in a similar size to the black series i version, and maybe even with a centre shaft, I'd crawl over broken glass to get one!!!

Totally agree. The new Yes putters just don't have the feel of the old ones. I have 2 spare Lizzy Plus heads in my desk drawer -- IMO one of the finest mid-mallets ever made. Would still buy the hell out of a milled #7, though. Can never have enough putters.

Just don't understand why they have not brought this milled model out.  I've asked the Odyssey rep a few times but always received a 'no plans' reply.  I guess they view the No7 as a lower / mid market putter who's owners are not interested / would not consider paying the extra for a milled model. Personally I'd spend 'driver' style money for that putter.

Yes it is. A great putter at a great price.

That second part is a great aspect of it too.  I do not mind paying top dollar for a flat stick that delivers for me, but I have gone through a recent string of $250+ putters that didn't fit my eye, or perform in an aspect I required...but this one cost me $65 new on ebay and it is a really great feel.  All milled putters of course have a completely different feeling, but I find I like the muted feel of the insert.  That I know is a minority view, since most people like the ping and crisp nature of a milled putter.  I definitely have enjoyed rolling this thing.

Try the white ice #7 with a super stroke mid slim. Absolutely no pulling or pushing. I paid about $65 all together for mine, and use it over my Scotty and Bettinardi.

Has anyone compared the #7 to the Yes' Sandy?

Ryan Moore has been using one of these.. and it comes in white

I've been playing a WH XG #7 for several years. It has kicked out my Cameron and my TP Mills. Just can't seem to find anything better. That being said, I just got a White Sandy 35". Just a couple of rounds on it. Easy to line up, not as soft as the XG #7 understandably and thats not a bad thing. Just different. Really a good looking putter. Headcover is a bit cheaply constructed IMO. I think a SuperStroke Slim on it will only make it better.

Yep it's the versa line #7.  Drastically smaller then any other #7.  Here's a pic of mine from the Top view, not sure on the release date but I know it's soon

Been thinking about an older White Hot or Black model, but I think I might wait on that, especially if you like the insert.  I like everything about it.  Only thing I'd change is I wish it had the topline like the Hot/Black models instead of the dots.  Oh well, can't have it all.

Thanks for the pic!

no problem and trust me WAIT till these come out.  The insert is the BEST they've ever made and PGA TOUR players agree.

J13 is right that the new Versa is for sure one of the best #7 they have ever made. The alignment of it is so easy and it just works. My second favorite #7 of all time was the Black Series version they made. It was 350g and a very small footprint, just had a great swing to it. I might have to look for another one!

I love my Metal X #7 belly putter with the new 2013 super stroke grip on it. Larger head than the standard version, and heavier. Love it.

I'm disappointed the Metal X was not offered at 360g.

What are the weight options for the Versa #7?  How is the feel different from the White Ice insert?
I really like the White Ice sound and feel-- firm yet cushy.  Previous Odyssey's were too soft and quiet for me.
