the car chase scenes are great too
not sure i'd call it a true action movie. Though the Audi S8 was my favorite car for several years because of it

Dom: What are you smiling about?
Brian: Dude, I almost had you!
Dom: You almost had me? You never had me! You never had your car! Granny shiftin', not double clutchin' like you should. You're lucky that hundred shot of NOS didnt blow the welds on the intake. Almost had me? Now me and the mad scientist gotta rip apart the block, and replace the piston rings you fried! Ask any racer, any real racer, it don't matter if you win by an inch or a mile. Winning's winning.

Fast and the furious to me will go down as one of the more underrated action franchises ever. Doesn't get enough credit right now. They basically re-invented themselves, from hardcore rice-rocket racer boy themes and lingo, to essentially being heist films with cars as the only common link.
They added the Rock aswell, giving them him and the Diesel. Some true action cred right there. Has Paul Walker done anything besides these movies?
I like each one more then the last

Passenger 57
Blade
U.S. Marshals (The Fugitive has a much bigger suspense element to it or I'd include it too)
War
Rambo III & the newest Rambo
The Corruptor
The Replacement Killers
Fast Five
Shooter
Kill Bill 1 & 2
There are some others like Way of the Gun that I'd include but they aren't quite pure action flicks like the rest.

Easily the best part of Taken 2 tonight was when I got pissed at the kid 3 rows down on his cell phone and I threw the gummy bear and hit him right in the the middle of the back of his head.
Then thrillhouse started texting me the whole movie just to piss me off!
I get mad at people that can't get off their phones. I mean really, it's 10;15 on a friday night. You're 16. You're with a cute girl. You're at the movies. Who the hell are you talking to? Then the guy shut his phone off and starting making out with his girl like a normal human being.
Also, How can you kill 38 Albanians in a foreign country and just go for a milkshake?
Fun movie but suspension of disbelief factor was at an all time high.
