Ping S56 Offset

Anyone know why Ping makes the offset on their S56's are much more progressive from top to bottom than other maker's blades? The 3 iron has much more while their PW has much less thn most others.

Because that's the way Ping wants it. Pretty simple. Ping designers felt that the best offset for those particular irons.

Take a look at the new anser irons, promoting higher launch in long irons and lower launch in short. Right now I'm trying to decide between the new ansers and the s56, transitioning from a s59.

Lower launch and straighter flight in the short irons, higher launch and more draw-flight in the longer irons.

I got rid of my first set of S56s because I just couldn't get used to how much lower the 9-iron and PW flew.
