Went to Roger Dunns this weekend and this thing is amazing.  Was hitting one with the Fubuki shaft in stiff and its making me wish i didnt buy the A12 hybridsand I love those!

How have other people liked playing with these?  Was thinking of making a switch but it will obviously cost me some $$$, might be worth it.  As some already saw I had posted about upgrading my shaft in the A12OS (graffaloy stock shaft sucks) but for the upgrade cost I may as well just get that Super Hybrid with the Fubuki.

I didn't care for them at all.  With the Fubuki stiff shaft, I was hitting high hooks.  I actually like the SS version of the hybrid more than the XTD, with the Ozik shaft.  The Ozik stiff shaft felt quite a bit firmer and the trajectory was a bit lower.  I eventually went back to carrying a 5 wood and 3 iron and dropping the hybrids.

thats the beauty of golf, can always find some piece of equipment that fits your game.  I was shocked but I carried a 17* 240 on one that i pured and it was a nice high draw.

Did not like it but I think its a shaft issue.  Not sure if I want to spend extra money on reshafting the thing.

That's exactly right.  Just need to find what fits your game.  I tried finding hybrids to replace my 5 wood and 3 iron, but just couldn't.  I hit the hybrids way too high and inconsistently.  They were very easy to hit, especially from the rough, but they just aren't for my game.

Anyone know the specs of the fubuki shaft of this hybrid in stiff?  Its not on the adams website.....

its a fubuki hybrid shaft.

I have literally tried everything on the market and so far i'm really liking the xtd.  i probably just jinxed myself, but oh well.

I do not know the specs but the two I had were not very stiff for a "stiff" flex.  I still have an adams super hybrid (SS version of the XTD) with a stiff Ozik Matrix shaft that is noticeable stiffer than the Fubuki in the XTD.

I have a 19 degree stiff Adams XTD hybrid.  I'm a weekend hacker--16 cap, 95-98 driver speed--but this thing is great.  Yes, I can screw it up, can do that with any club. But for me, most of my shots are high and far, up to about 220 yards off the fairway, which is great for me, since I'm a mortal golfer and not a true WXer.

My advice, browse the bst constantly and save yourself some money, I've seen some around here basically almost every day.

Personally i love my Adams hybrids. i had the Pro A12's and then tried the XTD Super Fairway 3 wood and really wasn't a fan and id been searching for a 3 wood for awhile so it was dissappointing. But then i tried the XTD hybrids and fell in love! i bag the 15* and the 19* and decided to throw a SS version in at 25* as well. i use the 25* off some tees of short Par 4's and usually can get it to go around 215-220. i must admit that as much as i liked all of these hybrids, i have changed the shafts to something a bit more stout and heavier. i got the UST Tour SPX silver from Will Peoples as the People's Clubs from his recommendation for me and now they are perfect. Even got a couple of that shaft in driver to try in the Launch Lab and Fast 12 LS. Point is that different clubs are going to work differently for everyone. Best bet as always is to hit the clubs yourself and get fit for the right shaft. It really can be night and day with the same club just by changing the shaft.

I bought an XTD 21* to replace my beloved Adams A/ . I love this hybryd same distance with 3* less !! And a shorter shaft easyer to control.

But the stiff Fubuki for me wasn't a good fit, I switched to a UST VTS Silver 75 S and the club now fits me soo much better .

How is the silver covering look for u guys.  Anyone alter the color of the club head, say to white or black?  The silver seems very shiny, especially on bright sunny days.   Any thoughts on the look at address?

Finally hit mine today, which i nabbed brand new with the factory white Altus (first XTD i've seen with one). I think the FW is excellent without being amazing, but i agree with the comments above the hybrid is even better. What an awesome club.

The 15 and 19 XTD's are the best clubs in my bag!!

Just put a 19* with a DI-105 in the bag.  I liked it so much I have a 21* on the way.  I'm going to try a G-series 95 hybrid in it to see how it compares to the DI-105.

I just got my 19* XTD Super Hybrid stiff flex and the jury is still out on it.

I hit every hybrid in the store and this one was the longest and had the tightest shot dispersion on the launch monitor for me at around 235 yds.  2nd was the Nike VRS which was every bit as long but not as accurate.  

My old hybrid was TM RBZ.  I had to aim like 60 yards to the right to get it any where near the fairway and pray it didn't roll into the rough.  So far the XTD has been good.  My shot shape thus far is a super high draw which is quite nice.  Not quite sure if I am going to keep it though with it costing 3 times as much as the Nike VRS 299.00 vs 89.00.  I got 30 days till the 90/10 period is up.  Only time will tell if it stays in the bag.

Tried to resurrect an old thread about the Fubuki shaft then I saw this thread. It seems that many here feel that the shaft plays softer than the stated flex. Not sure if it is the shaft overall or just the tip but I'm having the same experience. Even with my slow swing speed, the regular flex 21 XTD seems a little whippy. I think this is telling me I need to be properly fitted. But I might want to work on a repeatable swing first. :-)

Couldn't stop hooking a standard 15* 3 wood so I replaced it with the 15* XTD.  It not only goes straight, it goes further than my old titleist 3 wood.  I've inspired two others I play with to go ahead and buy it as well.  I think it's a wonderful club.

My 15 xtd has replaced my 3w in my bag as well. Looking for a 13 degree now to use off the tee on short tight holes. Looking at cb6 and new Adams when they come out in February.

I, like many others in this thread hated the Fubuki, but the Ozik Program shafts were awesome and felt great.

OK, i like the Fubuki.  I thought the shaft was pretty nice, but I also get it in X and felt more like an aftermarket S when I played it, so perhaps that's the issue people are having.  The shafts don't seem to play true to the flex.

Hey Scottleo. i havent changed the silver color on my adams hybrids yet, but i did strip the silver off my Adams Fast 12 LS and repainted it flat black which i prefer to the silver. once it starts raining here in Northern California more regularly and keeps us from playing i plan on doing the same to the hybrids. Pretty easy to do also. Definitely easier if you pull the shafts, but easy enough (just more time consuming) to tape off the bottoms of the shafts and the head if you want to keep them shafted during the process. i just used Jasco to strip the silver, cleaned and washed the heads, let them dry and them used an automotive primer first before some flat black spray paint. came out nice on the driver so hybrids should look just as good.

Are the new Adams hybrids going to have the velocity slot go all the way through the club head? I think I heard  or read that somewhere.

i will try and take some pics of my Fast 12 LS this afternoon and get them posted.It all comes down to personal preference though. My buddy and i just decided one day to repaint some woods and hybrids.lol Some of them took a few tries, but it's not like this hurts the club head or anything, so you can do it as many times as you want or need to.
