I think the only thing that can kick the G15's out of the bag is a clean looking similar club. Love my irons, hate the busy look.  I'm hoping that is what we'll see.

I don't know how you could hate clubs that are so easy to hit.

I have the G15 driver and fairway wood, but held off on the G20s just because I love my 15s so much.  I'm just shocked to see this thread going so soon.

What colour will the face of the driver be? Silver or black?

In my opinion, the K15 clubs are the best line PING has out right now.

G20 series was introduced in August of 2011. Someone was telling us that they changed the product cycle from 24 to 18 months, if this is correct then it makes sense that the G25 would come out in March 2013.

It makes sense to release clubs at the start of the
season. Never understood the Aug/Sept release
when most of the season is over for the northern
golfers.

Maybe Ping learned from the success of the i20
release. The G line is really their bread and butter
I would think. Best to have new stuff out early.

This is nice, I will be adding G20 fairways and G20 irons to my bag next summer!

Very fitting comment based on your handle, well done.
My "point" was, that G20 ain't that old, seems to be excellent line, so I am interested that PING decides to dump the line before their "natural" 2-year cycle.
I'm sorry if I offended anyone. :friends:

This sounds true as I visited the Ping Scandinavia HQ here in Sweden and they told me that Ping will have something new out in February! I would very much like to see a G25 line!

If this is true I wish Ping would announce it.  The
driver was a very misunderstood but  great club.

The rest of the line was pretty much a continuation
of the Rapture line with very expensive ti-faced
shovel irons.

I was hoping to see a K20 driver.  Boo hiss.

IMO, it made sense for a couple of reasons

First it gives their staffers the off season get fit and dialed in with any new sticks before the season starts.

Secondly if you get them out in time for some late season demo days, it gives them the chance to end up on holiday wish lists.

I suspect that with more playery going off to Europe or Asia during what used to be the off season, the first item isn't as important as it once was.

Anyone know the numbers on the current Anser line? My guess is that it didn't do as well as expected.

It makes sense to launch in August when it takes 90-120 days to get heads produced and delivered from China, launching in the fall gives them an early read to help predict a potential runner so they can be ready for the spring, it also lets them be in stores in the sun belt and desert regions that go into season in November and go out of season in March when it starts to get too hot.

That being said, it has also hurt them to not be part of the industry wide log jam that is the now standard February launch period, which is why you see them starting to change.

Love Ping but a matte gray and adjustable G20 doesn't sound that tempting to me. We'll see.

That is not even approaching an accurate description of the G25 driver, and the crown is very dark gray, almost black but not quite.
