season. Never understood the Aug/Sept release
when most of the season is over for the northern
golfers.
Maybe Ping learned from the success of the i20
release. The G line is really their bread and butter
I would think. Best to have new stuff out early.

If this is true I wish Ping would announce it. The
driver was a very misunderstood but great club.
The rest of the line was pretty much a continuation
of the Rapture line with very expensive ti-faced
shovel irons.
I was hoping to see a K20 driver. Boo hiss.

It makes sense to launch in August when it takes 90-120 days to get heads produced and delivered from China, launching in the fall gives them an early read to help predict a potential runner so they can be ready for the spring, it also lets them be in stores in the sun belt and desert regions that go into season in November and go out of season in March when it starts to get too hot.
That being said, it has also hurt them to not be part of the industry wide log jam that is the now standard February launch period, which is why you see them starting to change.

That is not even approaching an accurate description of the G25 driver, and the crown is very dark gray, almost black but not quite.
