Also, from what I was told, they are trying to see if they can make an adapter to convert the 910 fairway and hybrid tips to make them compatible in their 913 replacements.

When the ferrule gets warm it expands, and the visible section does this radially while the collar that fits down in the adapter does so longitudinally. Because the visible section is not providing any resistance, the collared section pushes it up and eventually it all comes up. The only way to keep this from happening is using a ferrule with no collar.

Not quite, what they are going to do is if you want to send your 910 fairway or hybrid shaft to Titleist they will replace the tip with a new 913 tip. I don't know any more of the details about this program yet like if they will return your tip, although I highly doubt it. And as for price I have heard that it will probably retail for around $40-$50 for this service.
