Classic
LOL
I have a picture of me in storage somewhere from 1987 or so, Pinehurst used to snap two pics on first tee, setup and follow through
I had a 7 degree taylor made pittsburgh persimmon on the first generation of tour gold graphite shafts then
The shaft was bowed around my back on the follow through in the pic, it was so flexible
Oh to be 25 years younger with 130mph SS again
I think the top long driver guys used to hit 145+ SS back then
I used to fly most people back then by 50 to 100 yards, the couple of times I had guys fly me by 50, they both ended up being guys that did these long drive shows
They all used extra long shafts back then
The hang time these guys had was incredible
The other day a guy on the range was counting when my balls were in the air, it was down wind
So I was getting 7+ seconds still in the air, not the long time I used to get, but long still enough to have most people gap their mouths open when they see someone hitting 280+ in the air down wind
LOL
