That episode was enraging to me due to Chris Anderson.  He is at his parents second home playing in some dumb tournament with his wife.  He isnt taking it seriously at all.  They look they have enough money for him to miss work. Fly to Florida and see his sports therapist?  Dude go to the range would ya? They certainly have time to go to mom and dads place to mess around all weekend.  Then skip back to his teacher saying he isnt putting enough time in.  Yes I agree life is hard and you have a family but you made the choice to do this pal.  Now it looks like the wife is starting up a new business?  Let me guess "Chris I have dreams too, you need to sacrifice for me"  Yeah but they are doing a show about mine.  Please bring in someone else that acutally wants to do this.

I am pulling for Shank though because he is a geniune dude and once that short/mental game turns he will be fine.

The Andersons  -100
Shanks +100
Chris Patton +1000

This.   Except I think there's more distance between the Shanks and the Andersons.
This show just makes it obvious that Chris Patton is a great guy, doesn't it?   I'd love to go hang out with Patton and Shank, but Shank's future is in his driving range & instruction business.    The good news is that the TV show and the tournaments are giving him a lot of experience that he can apply to that business.

I like Chris Anderson's wife...I wish she had her own show.

It would be interesting to see what she is doing when her husband is out  losing golf tournaments.

Yes...the wife is pretty hot.
Shank's blind date was pretty hot too...didn't think hot girls needed blind dates...but what do I know.....I've had the ball and chain on for 15 years and luving it...lol.

She's hot enough not to have to put up with the BS of an absent husband with an expensive golf habit (if you don't make the cut, its just an expensive round of golf in front of strangers...)

I liked the idea that Chris had with the "his family" vs. "dad's family" golf tournament, that I'm going to do the same....with me, wife, and son (each vs. each other, from respective tee's including handicaps)....will get a 1-foot high trophy to be engraved with the winner of our yearly golf getaway.  Just need to make sure no one is sandbagging, lol.

Glad to see I'm not the only one who can't stand Chris.

I'm rooting for Shank but I had to give up on the show. Everytime Chris comes on I changed the channel. Really dislike him. Just something about his attitude.

yea I feel the same way Shiram ... Chris comes across like a spoiled rich kid and even at his age he is still living off Daddy.... working at Daddy's business and whining about what he doesn't like he even had his Dad go with him to lunch to ask for sponsor help from of  course his Dads friend ..... He sure doesn't come across like he is "Chasing a Dream" maybe he should just ask his Dad to make a call to the PGA offices and ask Tim Finchem to let his son on tour....

Me too, plus when that commercial for the wristwatch yardage thing that has a weird looking dude with an even weirder swing come on...channel flip! That dude and his swing look creepy.

My daughter gave me quite the "eye roll" when I slo-moed that dude and critiqued his swing saying, "Couldn't Garmin afford to get a real golfer to appear in their commercial?"

Puling for Shank, Chris bothers me. He has mental issues and golf is just one area where it rears it ugly head the most. I think Chris is completely insecure and worries more about losing than actually practicing.

While both Chris and Robbie (or Shank) are nothing more than reality tv personalities looking to image themselves (Shank is already winning as we all know him by his very brand), I definitely feel like Shank comes off as being more personable of the two.  Chris comes off as trying to figure out why he can't get right when he knows the darned answer... HE DOESN'T PRACTICE ENOUGH!!!  His "shrink" could've saved him a bunch of money and a trip to Orlando by calling the facts. Instead, the powers to be script out this whole catalog of excuses as to why Chris isn't playing at the level he once did. There's nothing wrong with being successful in business but don't expect a pitty party to follow. Either take a sh!t or get off the d@mned pot already. Spending time at the family's Palm Springs vacation home and finally beating your elderly parents in a golf match (after 11-12 years) hardly constitutes a valid reason for not practicing. That's why I've come to the conclusion that he's not really hungry.

Shank on the other hand...  He might not be ready but he comes off as being dedicated to improving (and not just talking about it). Plus he seems to be a more humble personality of the two.

The guy that was helping Chris today did all he could to not say "Chris is never going to be back on tour and needs to just enjoy weekend golf."

Chris's constant 'this is harder than I thought it would be' is getting really annoying......duh, it's really hard and there are a lot of good players and he is not really any good anymore. Robbie is great, the show could have just been about him. Now Taylormade is making out good as their logo is everywhere!

OMG I HATE Chris.  Such a Duche.

Shank is awesome.  My and my buddies talk like Shank on the course and it's pretty funny.  Nobody wants to be like Chris.  And his wife needs a backhand.

God I hate chris.

As annoying as she can be, I do not think at all that it constitutes giving her the"backhand"

Chris looks like he drives it as far as Fred Funk. At least Shank has some length to maybe think about competing on tour.

Agreed.

And yes.  Chris seems to be pretty pompous.  I'm all for confidence which you have to have as a golfer, but there's a fine line between that and being smug.
