Robbie....pssst....we want to see more of that gal your mom introduced you to.  Aren't you interested in the least in her?  I thought for sure we would see more of her.

Exactly, much more of that Model and less of Patton kissing you on the cheek.

I enjoyed the show; liked Shank, disliked Mrs. Anderson's husband.

But let's be honest. These guys suck as far as playing professional golf goes and they do not appear to be having any fun at all while flogging themselves and their families to death with the fruitless pursuit of their selfish "dreams".

If you were to take the transcript of each show, edit out the golf references, you would have a  great script for a reality show about addiction and the lost souls claimed by negative addiction.

Like watching a car crash is slow motion. Can't look away.....

I think one thing we miss is how hard it is out there to compete. Plus i remember on last Big Break Yani Tseng said you guys have more camera's on you then we do on tour. So i can see it being hard.

Robbie has a great attitude and i pull for him to make it. He has his Brother to lean on about things and Big Daddy Patton(Great Player). I will follow him and root for him in business and golf. Plus i am looking to get some shirts! He would also kick my butt playing!!

Chris Anderson has a great family business and when he did golf he wasn't a top 30 in the world guy. Still could kick my butt every time if i played him. I think he was stuck in the middle, he wanted to play again but also wanted to continue he home life and business. I think Chris is in a good frame of mind now and will be going forward. I have respect for both of them!

I would love to tee it up with either player cause they would help my game out and make me a better player!

Man...I really tried to like this Chris Anderson fellow, but I couldn't find it in me.  I found him to be pretentious and a really big cry baby.  I hear all this whining about how he has to work for his family's forklift business and how he had trouble providing for his family then he's off to his parents' house in Palm Springs and playing casual rounds on a US Open qualifying course.  He literally whined for the entire length of the show.  His wife was equally annoying.  When you marry a professional athlete, you know what you're getting in to...get over yourself.  She complained the whole time as well.  Chris where are you?  Chris I'm taking care of the kids by myself, Chris I thought you'd be home by now, Chris I'm not sure I'm fully on board with this...wah wah wah...It seems Chris' golf talents and good fortunes with his family business allow them to live the life they do....how about some humility????   Robbie, on the other hand, seemed to be a geniunely good guy.  Granted, these are solely based on what I saw on TV which means I could be completely off base...

And yet, he had to have a sponsor to play?  I just don't get it.

That house in Palm Springs wasn't some little shanty....I don't get it either...maybe the business took off after Chris cut his teeth getting to the tour.  Either way, his attitude stinks...BAD.

I have a ton of respect for Chris' ability and his drive to get himself to the tour.  However, I would never want to play with a guy who throws clubs and "God D*mns" after every shot and talks about how bad he sucks.  I have a hard enough time with this game without being made uncomfortable by the guy next to me.  Granted, he's been among the best of the best and held his own and it must be frustrating to shoot well over par regularly when you used to play on tour.  However, his antics are tiresome at best.  Like I said before, this is based solely on what I saw on TV.

If you watch really closely, during the Straight Daves Fighting Max Out Scene n the movie Brüno.  There is 2 second shot of someone who looks just like Shank in the crowd, and I'm pretty sure it's him.  I'll try to get a screenshot uploaded soon.

I agree completely.  I would hate playing with him as he appears to be a whiny a** puss.  He obviously has the mechanics watching him swing and pitch the ball.  His total problem is his piss poor outlook.  He has no idea how fortunate he is.  He seems to be a spoiled brat, but this is all from watching the show.  There is no way in hell a guy with the swing he has should be shooting in the high 70's and low 80's, no way no how.

Has anybody else been imagining "Big Daddy" is caddying for you while you play?  Yesterday he was telling me not to try to hit a draw over the trees on a par 5, but I thought i was Shank and tried it anyway.  It bounce off a limb and went deep OB.

Shank is awesome.  I've been a fan since Big Break.  Also met his brother at a Nationwide Tour event the season he made it through.  Good guys.

Me too. I found his whining really getting on my nerves. Rob's attitude was much more positive.

I liked Robbie from BB and wish him well. Robbie did such a great job making a compelling show.  He really opened up all his hopes and fears to the viewer.  Seeing him with his family and his sense of honesty and gratitude was outstanding.

I became a huge big daddy fan.  The guy is such a great friend and all heart and tons of class. They did a great job giving insight to the importance of the caddie-golfer relationship.

Nice work GC!

All the best in 2013 to team shank!!!

Glad to see I'm not the only one who can't stand Chris.

I'm rooting for Shank but I had to give up on the show. Everytime Chris comes on I changed the channel. Really dislike him. Just something about his attitude.

Me too, plus when that commercial for the wristwatch yardage thing that has a weird looking dude with an even weirder swing come on...channel flip! That dude and his swing look creepy.
I knew I wasn't the only one!! Reminds me of Ian poulters weird half brother.

I know you guys say these two suck... but what was TGC supposed to do?   They picked a guy who already played on tour, and a guy who was a junior phenom.   Robbie dropped a 66 in the first round of q-school and finished (IIRC) +1 overall for 3 days.    Under "playing for your job" pressure, that's not good enough to qualify but it's good enough to beat your local club champion pretty soundly.   He made it through round 1 of US Open qualifying.

Honestly, to pick better guys they'd have to go ahead and pick two guys who finished in the top 50 of the web.com tour last year but didn't get their card.

Fun to watch Robbie, not so fun to watch Chris, but at least that's understandable.   Chris has a lot of responsibilities that Robbie doesn't have.   Chris didn't come across as a very likable guy but probably it's because he knows what it takes to live his dream and he knows he just can't do it and still have a family.  It's hard to accept when you've been *right there* but it didn't turn out the way you wanted it to turn out.

I dont think either suck, it shows you how had it is to make it out on tour. Even Minor tours i have tons of respect for them!

Robert Biershank is a real nice guy it seems and I like his attitude and southern hospitality, my fiance's modeling agent was the girl he went on a blind date with on the one episode his mom set him up with!

Personally, I liked Shank and thought he was a better golfer then the other guy, I also thought he seemed like a good down south, stand up guy! Maybe I am wrong but who knows, it's TV. She is Flykixz fiance's modeling agent but she never asked details aboout the show or date!

Hey, check this out =>  Robbie is singing (video) and Chris Patton on guitar?  Not bad to listen to while you're in a bar, easy listening.

http://www.robbiebiershenk.com/

And is that Chris Patton in the back at the back near the start of the video, to the right of Robbie at the 10-20 sec mark?  And from the prices on the shirts on his web site, he's probably doing better than Chris Anderson from the side benefits of all this publicity.

He's got:
  • Gear for sale on web site
  • Driving range sales,
  • Lessons, individual or group
  • Bookings for corporate events (lessons, long drive, trick shots, designated driver for $$ at designated hole, etc).

I was looking back at pictures I took for the site back in Aug 2005 and found WITB photo's of Chris Anderson's bag when he was on tour!  WOW!

Here is the picture thread --> http://www.golfwrx.c...las-vegas-pics/

Chris' problem is that he couldn't go all in getting himself back on tour.  I knew from the first episode he was doomed to failure.  Someone with his talent level needs to squeeze out every last drop of effort to make it.  He just doesn't have the time given his family and business commitments.  He had no chance.

I personally think this is one of the best shows TGC has in its lineup.   It also seems TGC brass are reluctant to let the producers make the show the way they really want it.  Ever watch "Flying wild alaska" or Gold Rush?  A golf show with that kind of production would be awesome!

God Bless
Jer

EDIT: the camo Shank hoodies look good.  Reality tv is killing the pocket book.  Duck Dynasty and Chasing the Dream...lol  Plus Trans Siberian Orchestra merch...ouch!
