My worst is yet to come.  I just signed up for the NCGA playday at Olympic.  Pins will be in the Sunday US Open positions.  I am crooked and a shaky putter.  I will post my result Sept 24th.

64 in my wife's company tournament, playing nine holes.  I'd done a kickboxing aerobic class in the morning.  I had no idea what would happen with each swing.  It was the closest i've come to tears, on a golf course

This just made me cringe.

My worst was either when I started playing again last year, with a 116, or  the golf gods getting retribution for my 86 2 weeks ago, when I shot a 104 last week.

I think it was Saturday when I shot even par 72 at the home club in a competition and a guy in my group, 25 year old, shoots 67.  Suddenly that 72 seemed really crappy.

my first round about 1.5 years ago now was about 115. Now I shoot mid-80s. I consider a bad round anything over 87.

Ignoring everything before I became somewhat decent player, the worst I have shot is 199 (101+98) at a 36 hole junior open whilst playing off 12.

When I was in 10th grade around 4 years ago, I played in my first tournament on the golf team. I was so nervous..shot a 81 over 9 holes...I don't think anyone can do worse than that. But today, I shot an 82 over 18 holes, so I would say there has been quite an improvement.

Not my worst score ever but the worse this year was the first round of my club championship, an 87. Hit 13 greens in regulation and had 45 putts including a 5 putt par 3 for a triple bogey.

I'm a high 70's, low 80's, 5 hdcp,

Shot 52 a couple weeks ago on 9 holes. That is my worst round in several years. My group shot like 49 and 52 which is terrible for all of us. We all just played like crap. Average this season is 39 and some change, so that was pretty bad. I didn't even want to mess with playing the back.

It just happens to all of us though. i have days when i feel like my swing is just totally off, or chunking all my wedges, or just can't find the speed on the greens. Golf is a funny game for things like this, but i think that is part of the challenge and why i love to play. It is never easy, and somedays are good others are bad.

129 in my first tournament ever.  I got the shanks and couldn't not shank anything putt my putter.  Fortunately I've been able to work it out and am now a 12.9 index :)  Ironic.

When I was playing mini tour golf, I had a stretch where my worst round for 10 years in a tourney was 78.  Then one event I was leading after 3 rounds. 68,66,66 for 16 under.  Shot 81 the final day to fall all the way to 17th and I didn't make enough to break even for the week!

also shot 89 last year in a city event.  shot 71 the next day in a wind storm though and still made the cut and with the last 2 rounds played well enough to finish in the top 15

Shot 87 in the us mid am yesterday. I'm a +2. Tough course alot of wind and deep rough. I had no clue where the ball was going. Miss was both ways all day.  Was 3 over thru 8 with a 3 foot par putt on 9 coming straight down the hill. 3 putted for double. Took an unplayable and 3 putted for triple on 10. 11 was a 160 yard par 3. Put one in the water then into rough from drop zone. Chipped up and 4 putted for an 8. 10 over on 3 holes. It was the highest score relative to par I've shot in 7 years. Gotta shake it off though. 1:15 tee time today.

as a 1 or so, a few years ago, played a tournament after not playing for A LONG time. shot 105-ish. there were a few 4-putts sprinkled in there. definitely as terrible as it's gotten.

When my buddy and I decided to have a few in the clubhouse before we teed off, then took a 6er for the road, and got 4 more each from the cart girl during the round.

After about 3 holes all I cared about was getting back to the cart to continue my barley pop adventure.

Stopped keeping score after about 5 holes, there was no point.

We always talk about "best this" or "best that". I played terribly today and am depressed.

88 in my club championship as a 1 index. 5 shots higher then my next worst round in the last 2 years

can anyone beat that? (and by beat that, i mean beat that the bad way).

For the record, didn't curse once, no broken clubs, no slammed clubs. MtlJeff made golfwrx soapboxers proud LOL

Wish I could play along but I'm in the Tiger era so when it really starts going bad, I just pull a hammy and walk off.

:)

I usually quit before it gets that bad...countless times I've taken my bag off the cart and let my playing partner keep going while walking all the way back to the car.

My lifetime worst is 92 in 47 years of playing.  When I started, I hit balls for the season before venturing out on to the course and it helped me tremendously.

Worst ever was my first ever. Am 47 years old and played my first game when I was 14 years old. Shot 102 on a par 72 course. That's also the only time I've ever been over 100. Shot some horrible scores in the 90's years later whilst playing off 10 but never been back over the 100.
Cheers

Tuesday's round was pretty bad. I took a nine on #17, and the wind blew my push cart in a trap.

Last round, 1 week ago.  98.  5.6 h/c.  Tough course, but I was just pathetic.  Lost 3 balls.  Haven't touched a club since.  Sky might be falling.

The one I remember most was 2 summers ago i was playing awesome golf, i shot a legit (no gimmes, mulligans, played it down etc) 74 one day at my home course and then had I think a few more rounds in the upper 70's. Shot 81 at a very difficult course in tough conditions and was just feeling GREAT about my game. So i have an 7:50 tee time at a place called Fowlers Mill which is one of the great local tracks around here, with a couple buddies i hadn't played with all year. I get there early, hit a small warm up bucket of maybe 25 balls and everything felt great, hit a few putts and had a real feel for the greens. So we get out there and I simply can't hit a shot anywhere near where i am aiming. I literally hacked my way around that place for a total of (i think) 96. Now, it wasn't a tournament round or worth anything other than being able to back up all the talk I was laying on my friends about how great i was. Wow, just a SUPER FAIL.  (or a double face palm)

I decided to take the day off and play 36 holes this past Friday.  I shot 79 on the first 18 and followed it up with a 106 on the 2nd 18. LOL not to bad for a 10 HC.

Shot even par on 9 holes one evening and couldn't wait to play the next day. The next day I was feeling cocky and my snap hooks returned. I was hooking the ball so bad, I couldn't start the ball far enough right so I started trying to hit punch shots. This only made it worse. 112. 9 handicap at the time.
