I just came back from the store. Absolutely incredible.
They have everything you could possibly imagine; every retail item from just about every major manufacturer.
But it's their used section that was very impressive.

I get that you folks in California and Florida probably are yawning at this, but this has to be the best store we have ever had in the NYC area. I will definitely be making a trip from CT again before long.

I would suggest all of you who are within an earshot of Paramus take a trip out. You won't be disappointed.

RJRJRJ, I'll just say that if you mocked New Orleans a week after Hurricane Katrina, it would probably be considered insensitive, and it is no different now with Sandy and NY/NJ.

Mr. Vinny from the show is actually from Staten Island, NY, which was devastated by Sandy.  The locale of the show in Seaside Heights is pretty much wiped out.  All of our lives in NY/NJ have been hugely impacted the past couple of weeks.  I'm sure you didn't mean anything by it, but I think that is where AP2 is coming from.

It was clearly a "fist pump in celebration of the new store opening" joke, so I was dumbfounded that anybody was unable to see that.  In any event, I meant no offense to anyone.
That's exactly how I saw it, a fist pump celebration for the store opening. If anyone was offended about that they need to relax. Anyhow, I called the Superstore yesterday and they said they carry Bridgestone clubs which I thought was cool. I might take the ride from eastern Long Island ( where we also got hit with Sandy) and hit some j40 DPC's.

Stopped by today and wasn't totally impressed with the sale. The place is cool though with all the indoor hitting bays.
Only thing I found that was a deal was their store brand leather gloves. 12.99 for 2 pack, and buy one get one free. So 4 full leather gloves for $13.

You didn't think 25% off all used clubs was a good deal? There were some great deals that I passed on because I have way too many clubs at the moment

I picked a few used clubs to see the prices and they weren't that interesting even with 25% off, plus I have too many clubs anyway. Was in the market for a new bag but none of the Ogio there even had any discount at all.
Oh well it's all good. I am not dying to spend money right now anyway.

Went to check it out on a Sunday, drove from Westchester only to find that Paramus has Sunday blue laws.  Every thing was closed.

Yeah- all of Bergen county, for that matter. Garden State Plaza, Paramus Park, and most of rte 17.  Mind boggling that the area does well commercially despite the blue laws.

Went in and was blown away by the space they have.  It is like the three other local golf stores all under 1 roof.  $99 for a year in the hitting bays and 25% added onto trade-ins might be worth it.    Great used club selection - picked up 2 spin mill wedges in real good shape for $30 total.  One was marked $19 and the other was not marked.  Asked a sales rep who said he would match the $19 price of the first one. The used clubs were all 25% off, but I'm not sure how long that will last.

Staff did not seem to hate their jobs yet and I did not ask them any WRX worthy questions.  I went at lunch time and there was plenty of staff on hand and all were happy to chat, just seemed like normal golfers.  Definitely recommend the store over anything else in the area.

Needless to say, Golf Galaxy and Golfsmith are going to be out of business soon in the area. The store is ridiculous! The putting green alone is the size of golf galaxy. I bought a used taylor made r580 xd there for 19 dollars and cant wait to go back to upgrade my bag. Customer service is great too, I could spend all day just browsing around and still not see everything

Where do they keep the used clubs? I've been there 3 times already and never saw any. The store is huge!

Thanks for the great reports.  This is about a 20 minute trip for me from essex to bergen cty, and I just haven't motivated to go yet.  I know I will be like a kid in a candy store though when I do get there.  I just don't need much gear right now, so I know I'll end up spending money that I shouldn't.

I got a membership about 2 weeks ago, have used the 30 minute hitting bay session, it is nice to have the video to see what you are doing, just wish they had a down the line view as well.  For the times i'll go here instead of the range i will certainly make back my $99.

I am also on the waitlist for a lesson package they were offering.  I'm no pro so any help will help.

I like the store, they have a ton of stuff.  I also like the GG on 17, its a good store as well, cant say the same for the Golfsmith up the road, it is certainly lacking (not all Golfsmiths, just this one).

We've had a store in Chandler AZ for several years. Not the best location - run down strip mall so rent is probably cheap. I am a bit amazed that they are still in business. So much space and inventory and lots of competition in metro Phoenix. A couple years ago the nearby GG went belly up. Not that I wish any business bad luck but the owner of the GG bashed PGASS to me one time and I thought it was pretty low class. Karma will get you.

I like to browse the store but don't find their prices to be very enticing. They have a huge stock of clothes but prices are not great even when one would expect them to be, e.g., Black Friday. Equipment prices are so-so but selection is fabulous.  I hope they survive just for the browsing.
