I've always had a stand bag but as I'm riding alot more these days than walking, thought I'd look into a cart bag.  Have seen alot of talk about the Sun Mountain C-130 and Callaway Org 14.  Also took a look at the Nike Performance bag.  The big question is how many "sodas" each can carry while keeping them cold (or cool).  Any ideas as to the carrying capacity or any other bags I should be looking at?

I have the C130 and it's cooler pocket is small, 2 yes, 3 maybe but probably not.

The Callaway Org 14 and 14x has a much larger pocket-- I bet it easily could carry 10-12.

Both are nice bags.

I have the Nike performance bag. It has 2 insulated pockets & could possibly hold 2 cans each. I wouldn't count on them staying ice cold very long.

I have the Callaway bag. The cooler pocket is on the side. My complaint with it is that it's so large that it takes a lot of cool packs or ice just to cool it down. If you just want to put a few drinks in there, they don't stay cool. I would prefer to have the cooler pocket down on the front bottom spot on the bag like my old Daytrek bag had. I had some Callaway gift certificates that I won in a scramble so I picked up one of those long coolers that holds six or so cans and slip it down in the side cooler pocket now.

+1 on the Call'y bags. I very much prefer ice in my drinks and the cooler pocket is huge and holds lots of it. It is a very nicely laid out bag as well (although I find the dividers get tangled with the grips occasionally - like every other 14 way bag I have had).

I always thought a 14 way bag would be the way to go on a cart bag.  I have a Sun Mountain KG2 at the moment and get frustrated with the way that the clubs pile up on each other (and how the bag shifts in the cart, hence the topic).  Will check out the cooler buddy, might be a  happy compromise for now.

damn, Bob that is a pretty sweet bag!

And that leads to another question:  Is it cool to have a bag when you don't have any of the bag brand's clubs in it (although looking at Mizunos to replace my Adams A7s...)?

I'm using a TM Catalina cart bag on my Clicgear. I'm very happy with the bag in general, and it has a pretty large insulated pocket on the lower front of the bag, that will easily hold 4 drinks with a cooler pack.

The cooler pack on the Callaway is huge.  Tip is lay your bag on its side and vertically stack your cans top to bottom, then pour the ice over the top (the bag unzips all the way so you can fold the flap all the way off).  Zip the bag up, stand it up, and after everything settles either add extra ice or more "sodas".  Honestly, without ice, I wouldn't be surprised if you could get a dozen and a half in it, dozen with ice.

Great info, guys.  One of my buddies just got the Callaway bag.  We fit a 12 pack in there with no problem.  Like NBAH said, it may be almost too big in that it wouldn't keep the "sodas" cold by itself without a little help from some ice packs.  I am almost sold on it but not sure about the 14 way divider (seems like a lot of people on here aren't big fans).  Any word on the Org 7's cooler pocket?  I'm assuming that it is the same bag (and same cooler pocket) but with a 7 way divider?

Nice looking Mizzy bag ... I may have to look into that one myself!!

FYI the new Taylormade Jaggernaut bag (made by Sun Mountian) is great looking, and it has a huge cooler portion

You may want to look into the 7 way divider. I have the 14 and the clubs don't want to go down sometimes. It's like the grips get hung up on the material. I ended up getting tubes and it fixed the problem.

I just picked up a Burton Signature series bag and it has a great sized cooler pocket with holes in the bottom to let the water drain from ice.

I'm interested in buying the taylormade catalina 3.0 bag.  I noticed it has 2 fast-tek receivers.  Can someone describe the usage for these?

I use one of these with a ziplock bag of ice. 6 pk. stays cool and dry. I think a 12 pk. would give the bag drop guy a hernia.

Not sure if you get them in the US but my Motocaddy has a decent size pocket (just above ball pocket in picture) could fit between 6-8 cans and has drain holes in the bottom if you wanted to put ice in also.
