No. That is too high. With the wholesale prices being what they are, expect the prices to be very near what I posted earlier.

If they attach this club to the TA line it will be very high.  I would think $250 may be spot on.

Again, regardless of whether it is a "TA" line or not, with the wholesale prices being what they are, it will NOT be $250. Trust me.

Please make the stock shaft offerings Dynamic Gold, Project X PXi and KBS C-taper.  Also, start offering PXi and C-taper for custom irons, as well as DG-spinner for wedges.

P.S. You will sell a lot more of these if the prices are reasonable.  I think the most I would like to pay is $200 stock steel and maybe $250 stock graphite if they put a real, good stock graphite shaft.  Diamana Thump perhaps?  Personally, I still want a C-taper I think

p.p.s. That patent looks awesome!  Just like an FT Tour head which I am gaming and love.  Can't wait for that to come out!

Doubtful, but you can order anything you want. Custom orders are great and you shouldn't be upcharged for it at all outside of the shaft and/or grip.

Available in three lofts (18, 21, 24 degrees), the Callaway X Utility Prototype Irons are made with a hollow forged construction of 1020 carbon steel, a tungsten sole to precisely dial-in the CG location, and a high-strength maraging steel face that promotes high ball speeds. Each iron features also features removable weights on the sole that range from two to eight grams in two-gram increments that allow players to make swingweight adjustments to fit individual needs surrounding specific length, shaft and grip options. I don't see why you could not use this as a driving iron. I really think Callaway has a winner with these, i've not seen this much hype around a Callaway offering in quite some time.

Dear 5 Wood,

    I would like to thank you for the past year and a half. We have had some good times. I just hate to inform you that you will be replaced sometime within the next 90 days. Callaway is FINALLY bringing there tour popular X Utility Prototype to the public. As soon as possible I will be ordering one for your replacement. Gents,

Word is that most of the tour pro's are using the X Utility with the same shaft that they use in their irons and play it about .25 to .50" over the length of the std equivalent.

I've got an 18* on the way and will post a review after a few uses.

The company is very excited about the launch of the 2013 line. There is some great stuff coming out. Stay tuned!
