Not that I know of.... With forged heads you'll get some chatter on the heads... Is it on the face or just the head?

Well you could technically grind it flat, but that will take the finish off....  If it doesn't effect the face or contact then I wouldn't worry much about it.   It's going to happen a lot with a forged iron.

I wouldn't worry about it.  Could have been caused by sand on a wet ball.

More likely a teeny tiny pebble somewhere on the fairway or sand trap made it. It won't be the last.

It's very possible, I notice on the neck/hosel and topline of my wedges (1018s) have little dings in them and I just got them a month ago, the dings line up perfectly with the leading edge of my other wedges, they bounce around and get dinged. I also have the little marks in the faces of my irons, I believe they're from the same culprit and it doesn't effect the club at all to what I can notice. When all the faces look like that I'll have an excuse with the misses to get a new set

You will get lots of little dings from bag chatter all over forged irons, including on the faces.  Unless there is a sizable ding right in the sweet spot, it is nothing to worry about.  It adds character!

I don't think it adds anything.

can be distracting....

if you're NEVER going to sell them I guess it doesn't matter but if you're a ho and
like to buy and sell, bag chatter kills resale value.

A true ho doesn't worry about resale value.
