Hi, I am new to this great forum, and just wanted to pick some brains. I have this sc circa 62 in I guess I would call a royal blue. I just haven't seen another one in this color. Legit? Thanks, mike

Welcome to the site.  I'm sure someone more knowledgeable can comment on the authenticity of it more than me, but the paint was probably just changed by a previous owner or the Custom Shop.

Welcome.  I don't think I have seen one with blue.  It could have been done by the previous owner, some people do their own.  Does it have a serial number below the grip?

Is it underneath grip or below on shaft?

Its hard to see.  It is etched on the shaft, probably somewhere around the band.  Probably something like 05LUX

Aren't the serials only under the grips on the newer models?

I have a Circa 62 no 1 and it is just below the band.  I have 3 scotties and they are all in the same place.

No band. Changed grip. Can't see a serial number? Sure puts good.

I still think that the number is probably close to middle of the shaft.  I had to really look hard to find mine.

The No 1 is my favorite putter.  I just traded a Calif. Hollywood for another on this site.

I have tried a number of putters over the years but have always putted better with a Blade putter.  The Calif. Hollywood is not really a blade putter because it is perimeter weighted, although many refer to that type as a blade.  I just never got comfortable with it.

I redid the paint fill on my del mar.

It is orange, white, and blue now. Looks pretty sweet.
