Ive searched and read many threads on Adams hybrids and others. Basically, I love the A7 hybrids, but theyre a terrible fit for Ping iron lofts. I need a 23 or 24 degree. A7 only comes in 19 and 22. They don't at all for my gaps. A7s are the first hybrids I haven't hooked to death and whose weight feels great. Hybrids often feel light to me, even though my g15s are light weight for irons. Ive tried the a12 pro and Pro Black and they feel great when I'm striking it well. I want something I can hit when my swing is slightly off too. I'm a 15.7 index but I'm getting better. Who likes the A7 but has had success with others also?

I love my ping i15 hybrid.. thing takes off like a rocket and goes for days. I use a 17* though so I am not sure what lofts are available but for only costing 60 bucks shipped.. I couldn't ask for any more.

i've tried all types of hybrids.  from ben hogan (one of the originals) to adams, ping, taylormade, cobra, cleveland... but what i suggest is demoing the razor x hybrid.  never thought i would like callaway hybrids but they are simply the easiest to hit and feel amazing.

I just got my i20 20*&23* and am very happy with them at the range today. I still have my 17* Big Bertha in the bag, nothing is kicking that out.

Give the Cobra Amps a try, surprising how solid they are...knocked my Adams right out of the bag. Nice smallish head and shaft combo.

Get the Adams A7 22 and grip down a 1/2".  A 15.7 has a lot more productive things to worry about than a degree or 2 on a hybrid.

I too am looking for a 22-23 degree hybrid. I just got back from a range session where I hit the Adams a12OS, Ping i20, and Cobra T rail. Unfortunately they didn't have each model in the same loft (Adams and Ping were 3h, Cobra a 4h) or shaft stiffness (Ping was S, Adams and Cobra were Rs).

However I could get a feel for each club and came away most impressed with the Cobra T Rail. Though I have hit the Ping i20 4h in a R shaft and it was nice, but a bit lower ball flight than I prefer.  The Cobra T Rail had a high, but penetrating ball flight than landed soft.  Cobra has always made very good hybrids and might suit your needs.

Happened across this thread and it got my attention because I am currently rebuilding an old Cleveland Halo. It might just be me but i've yet to hit a hybrid as well as I do those. They can be had for cheap.
I just bought an EPIC hybrid shaft off RBG for $20 and threw it in there. Can't wait to try it out.

Gosh, I just demoed the i20 with the TFC and it's awesome. I tried the 910h and it was nice as well, but I hooked it pretty bad and didn't bother adjusting it on site. I didn't want to like to i20 though, because it's so new! $$$

One of the best Adams hybrids ever is the old Adams Pro Gold with the Matrix shaft. I still play the 20 and 23 degree and they do not go left at all. (I can hook the snot out of a hybrid). I still play them and I cannot hit anything better. Can be had for a great price.

agree with the A12 (slotted) or something older. Like smartcore said, Halos are an older hybrid, cheap, that play very iron like.

About the loft though... chances are their not 100%. A 22 A7* will likely be something different than whats stamped on the bottom of the head. Remember manufacturers have acceptabile tolerances. What those are, I have no idea but I bet its within two degrees.

Like someone else said, you can also just choke down. Lots of us with only a 19* will choke down to use it as 22* so we can carry extra wedges.
