I played Poppy Hills on Saturday morning. The course was in great shape with the greens running as fast as ever. The rough was short probably due to the cold weather and lack of rain. Enjoy the pic's.

I love poppy, It's such a fun track. I think aside from the ranch, eagle ridge & harding it's my favorite affordable course around the bay area.

How I miss the Central Coast, especially the poor man's Pebble Beach. I long for my NCGA card and trip south.

our college team got to play out there last march and it was beautiful, a bit on the wet side, but when you get to play there and at spyglass for free, you cant beat it right ?

Yes, there are 5 total par 5's. Holes 4, 9, 10, 12, and 18. The back nine is unique because it has 3 par 3's, 3 par 4's, and 3 par 5's.

The only disappointment was from a ranger who was militant. I was in the second group off that day. We were told 3 times we were behind schedule, yet the group behind us was always a hole behind and never caught us. We finished in 4 hours 40 minutes which is slow, but since the group behind us never caught up, I thought it was borderline harassment.

I suppose he was just trying to do his job, but the way he spoke to us and the tone in his voice wasn't appreciated by anyone in our group.
