BTW.....the stock Ahina (made for) is NOT Garbage by any stretch of the imagination.  Probably the best MF shaft out there.  Definitely better than the Titleist versions.  I tipped mine 1" and reinstalled. Viola! Is it a VC 6.2? No.  Is it better than 99% of the stock shafts offered by oems? YES!

I STILL WANT NIKE TO RELEASE THE 13* LTD. ED. FW!!!!!!!!  Until then, CB2 it is!!!

Almost cried last week (not really, but added for effect) when my rep came up but had nothing to show.  Nike is going the TM way this year and not showing their cards (so to speak) until later in the year.  My rep won't get his samples until Dec (product could be out Feb 8, official launch Mar 1).  Driver is code-named (at least on the order form) as VR C3 Tour and VR C2 Performance if I remember correctly.  C3 and C2 will both have driver, fwys, and hybrids.  C2 will include a new iron set.  VR Blades, PC's, CB's, and the VRS Forged will all carryover.  A new wedge line is on the way as well and new Method Core putters.  I got to see a short video about the new product that showed pretty much nothing.  It did look like the new logo might have some sort of "redwing" type pattern to it.  Hard to really describe.  My rep said that some of the Nike staff would be putting the clubs into play around Oct or Nov.  As posted in other threads, 20xi will get an update with a new One Rzn ball coming out.

I know a teaching pro/mini tour player who is fairly well versed on the shaft offerings, was a Nike staffer, and got fit for the LE woods and the stock ahinas tipped an extra inch far out performed anything else he tried including the beloved ad di... Maybe I should have/ will try that...

For the record i was in the camp that said that the shaft was just terrible. I had the stock x flex setup and couldn't stand it. Put an oban devotion 6 05 in it and loved it... Swing changes now require something a big higher launching so I have a 10.5 with an ad di 6x coming in later this week... Probably could have saved some coin buying another stock one and tipping the shaft.... Oh well.

I picked up a pair last night for 138 each.  Oh my goodness they feel great.  The shaft is fine for me and my non god like swing speed.  The 3 wood still launches low actually.

Throw in a blueboard in them and voila they are amazing (hit them off the fitting cart) - almost the same numbers but the blueboard is  smooooooooothhhhhhhhhhhh

Forgot to mention in the earlier post, that Nike will also be using a...AND I QUOTE... real-deal shaft next year.  My rep didn't name the shaft, but said it was a new offering for next year and would not be a "made-for" shaft (at least he said this was the case in the tour driver).  Also, when it comes to color...the order form has the drivers listed as "black and greyish."  Fwys were listed as "black."

There will be a new adjustable driver next year. Sworn to secrecy like everyone, but two drivers. One at $299 and another at $399 I believe.

May I add... The stock ahina on the limited is solid. It for me better than a lot of upgrade shafts. Only issue I had is that I like the vrs head a lot better.

Don't expect much guys. Reps are only going to have info on the balls. No new clubs til spring and no protos to hit for a few months!

Supposedly, the reps aren't going to have any demo products to show until Dec, but some of the tour guys are expected to put the new product in play late Oct to Nov hopefully.  I'm going to play the new 20xi prototype ball today, so I'll leave some feedback if anyone wants to know the results.

Got nine in with the 20xi prototype (not sure if its the X or the S).  I'll start by saying that I haven't played in a month, but the last time I played 7 iron was going about 165, 8 155, and 9 145.  You get the idea.  My first tee shot was bombed down the middle.  The first thing I noticed was the softer feel of the ball.  Alot of people say Nike balls feel firmer than most other balls.  I've played the nike's so long, that I've gotten used to it and most other balls feel like marshmellows.  This ball really felt like a ProV1x(which i have played some over the past year) off the driver.  Not to say too much about driver, but I missed two fwys today (1 with a 3 wood that was pushed slightly and 1 with driver b/c it went fifteen yds longer than normal and went through a fwy).  It was somewhat windy today, but it didn't seem to effect the ball.  The 20xi proto just wanted to cut through the wind and had very little turn to it (i mostly hit a straight ball with driver).  Distance was very good off the tee.
On to irons.  On the third hole, I had 168 to flag, slight side wind and hit a basic 7 iron shot.  The ball went higher than my normal flight (good thing for me) and carried about 170.  On the fourth hole, pin was 153.  I hit 8 that went about 160 in the air.  Long story short, the proto was flying about 5 yds farther off irons for me.  On short shots around the green, I'm not a very high spin player, but this thing got the job done.  And it felt very good coming off putter.
I play either the 20xi S or the X right now depending on which one comes outta the bag.  I will say that the proto performs better than either of those balls.  Can't wait til Feb/Mar when these things hit the shelves.  Time to email my rep and see if he has anymore protos to get me by.

sounds like the 20XI*X tour issue ball that I'm playing.  Softer then the current and longer.  Love this ball.

I'm going be honest and say that I don't hear the golf ball very well (maybe my parents were right when they told me my stereo was too loud).  Some people relate feel and sound as the same thing.  Thinking along these lines, I thought the proto ball felt softer coming off the clubs, so my guess would be a softer/toned down sound.  A friend of mine has played this ball as well and he did say he thought the ball had more of a pro v sound to it.

That sounds awsome, I´ve always liked the little more firmer feeling of Nike balls but I dont like the 20XI ball its to firm so if they make it a little bit softer as you say that would as well affect the strange sound when you chip or pitch the ball.

Talked to my rep this morning and found out that the 20xi proto ball I played is going to be officially called 20xi.  It is the replacement for the 20xi S.  They are dropping the "s" and going with 20xi and 20xi X.  The "X" proto balls will be coming out shortly.

Now, how would you know that is not true???

Probably because the reps themselves haven't even seen the clubs. The main selling point is the new technology so I would doubt Nike is going towards the different colors directions a la Cobra.

As Per Tour Rep, Nike Forged irons are staying the same, but they will release a New Cast irons! The VRS forged have done really well for them this Season so that line is staying.  They are testing New woods and Cast irons set for release early 2013, as soon as I get pics i will post along with a video
