That's a good thing IMHO.  Red fwys would be a huge turnoff to most golfers.  But it seems as if that is the direction oems seems to be going now days.

Their wedges and normal method line are due for an upgrade aren't they? I wouldn't mind a new VR Pro line, if I could get the combo set on close out I would be very happy.

Heard the new driver isn't coming until late Feb or Mar.  Was told there would be a Tour and a non-tour version with both being adjustable.  I hope the Tour comes glued in.

Look closer... The iron on the right is the old TW blade. It has "V10" on the hosel.

I think nike needs to drop the VR title and pick up something new. Their entire line is tied to Tiger. I know he has 3 wins and is there marque player but I think they need to branch out some.

fairway: macgregor mactec 4 wood
hybrid: hogan CFT
Irons: Titleist T irons.

Tiger Woods essentially created the Nike golf line. Without Tiger, there is no Nike golf as a major player in golf equipment. They won't be getting rid of him from a marketing standpoint anytime soon

Who should they put out front then, Wie and Casey?  I don't see anyone in my travels playing their equipment.  Most purists either have mizuno or old titleist stuff.  I'm not being a smarty, but after reading they won't SW a driver for their staff players...I'm just not sure why they continue to try so hard.  I am glad they have Carl playing well for them....cheeseburgers and beer...and golf.

I do think it would be hard for them to improve upon the classic blade design.  Seems pretty good right now to me.  Our local guys are on Nike staff and rave about the vr_s driver, but their upcharge pricing is super prohibitive compared to competitors.

Can't imagine how they could make the VRS driver better.  The club is crazy good and feels dead solid.  Ball Speeds are through the roof and forgivenss is large and in charge.  My r11s is in trouble right now as the VRS is coming on strong!

I can't either! Such a great driver and so underrated, I love that Nike makes such great stuff and no one cares it keeps it cheap for me. I have a vrs with an aldila rip alpha that is not going anywhere for along time.

Can't wait to see what Nike comes out with next. I think this past year they made an even bigger advance into the golfing world. It's really neat to work for Nike (store) and see all the tech they put into their gear. I may pick up another set of pro combos soon!

My local Dick's has the VRS drivers for $199.99. But as I am a lefty I was out of luck. Bought the Ping G20 instead.
