Never thought I would call a Cameron putter "tacky", but this one fits that title.  Scotty has never done a press-fit hosel, when welding was an option and to see this set-up makes me less than thrilled.  It would have been so simple to do it right and get it cleaned up, especially with the machines and talent that he has working at the Studio.
Two thumbs down on this one.

That was the first thing my eye was drawn to as well. Wonder why they elected to go that route.

Another odd Golo

The putter Scotty Cameron made for himself is even tackier

I love the look of most scotty camerons. I love the cherry bombs and the colors, as well as most the shapes of the putter heads and a lot of his stamps he uses but that putter above with the twisty neck is just horrendous. I understand what scotty cameron does is very difficult and he is very good at what he does, but the idea that the putter above could be sold for thousands of dollars is crazy. Now many people will love it because i guess it is an acquired taste but that thing is down right tacky!

Concept is good, with that type of hosel set up the hosel length can easily be adjusted by using a different length of shaft between the head and the knuckle. So that particular head can be changed from a short plumbers neck to a long neck and everywhere in between to really dial in the toe hang. It is definitely a new look and won't be everyone's cup of tea. Personally I think if the putter head was black, the "neck" shaft was black and the knuckle was black it may all blend in.

I forgot that this style of hosel/neck also helps with weight savings over a traditional neck

It almost looks like somebody wanted to try a plumbers neck on a Golo and this was the easiest and quickest way to try it out.

I would think if they were going to produce these they would do a more aesthetically pleasing job.

Agree 100%.  A plumbers neck golo sounds great but I can't imagine someone will pay 2500 for that half A$% job.

I have to say that as unappealing as that putter looks from most angles, the look at address (at least from the picture on Tablerock) is pretty nice. I would actually be interested if it were a more "normal" looking plumbers neck. And if I had $2500 to blow on a putter, which will be never.

it's a knucklehead.  It's much more complex than just throwing a pn on a golo.

Might be complex, but it is still ugly. Pass.

Obviously someone did, and pretty quickly (EDIT was sold out earlier, not now)  Now out of stock, as hideous as that neck is.  It is a nice looking head, but needed a better job on that neck.

What is SCADO?

What is SCADO?

"Since 1997, Table Rock Golf Club has hosted the Scotty Cameron Appreciation Days. This is a private event that many of the prominent Scotty Cameron collectors attend. Each year the event is held, a small number of putters are made and given to the attendees. The event and the putters are known as SCADO. This started in 2000, when Scotty stamped "SCAD00" on that year's putter. It stood for Scotty Cameron Appreciation Day 2000, but it became known to everyone as SCADO"

Interesting looking...pass at 2500 though.  Wonder what the toe hang is on that compared to the original version

He can make anything and sell it, shouldn't be a surprise.

SCADO is Scotty Cameron Appreciation Day or something like that.

I think the person that spends the most at table rock through the year is given this putter at ICC.

Scotty said that it gives him up to 5 inches of adjustment for the length of the neck. He also mention it was 20 (or maybe it was 30) grams lighter so he was able to get more weight into the putter head.

Maybe he can re-release all his old models as "knuckleheads."

I thought it was an interesting concept when I saw it in person.  I like the original version better.  The only thing I didn't like was the "chatter" on the flange, I prefer the cleaner look.  The headcover was very nice.

I actually think it's a great idea, it just looks bad when the lower "shaft" section is a different finish than the plumber attachment and the putter head. It does makes the putter neck even easier to customize though. Want a long neck? Easy adjustment.

Again, it just doesn't look good when the plumber connector and putter head are satin and the bottom "shaft" portion is chrome. Match those up and I would game it.

I finally looked at the knucklehead thanks to this thread.  When I first heard the name I wondered about it.

Then I saw the pictures and *to me* it looks like he got the name from a knucklehead motor.  It looks like a chrome pushrod cover going into a "raw" rocker cover.  A pretty popular look on the knucklehead.

In the knucklehead putter video he says it's the combination of the 90* "knuckle" + the head of the putter.  I'm not sure I'm buying it, but it's an Interesting look/concept no matter how he claims to have gotten the name.
