I recently picked up a driver from the used bin at my local shop. I saw that it had an Attas T2 shaft in it so I jumped on it for $99.  When I looked closer at the shaft I saw that it has a serial number (AT0005314).

Is this a tour issue shaft or something?  How much is it worth?

Here is a pic of the serial number

No they are all that way, hand rolled and individually serialized.  It's an incredible shaft and you got a great deal.

Haha no it was in a Nike VR Pro.  I pulled it and put a 910 tip on it.

I'm pretty sure that is a tour issue shaft. I've had a few attas T2's that I know came from the tour and they had the ATxxx serial # engraved. That's what they were using before they started with the TourSPXxxxx serial #'s.

Thanks! I actually went to my club builder who is a UST TourSPX dealer and he said that it's probably a tour issue because none of his other ATTAS shafts have that serial number... any idea how much this is worth?

Tour Issue shaft would now have that hand stamp w/ Tour SPX also hand stamped before it. But that just started this year.  OP: PM me and I will give you some contact info for a guy @ UST Mamiya that will be able to answer anything you want to know.

Before the "it's worth as much as someone is willing to pay" guy comes along, I'll give an estimate. First, tour issue shafts aren't worth the same thing as tour issue heads are. There simply isn't too much that's different.

Shaft retails around $400, so a good used pull would be somewhere in the $175-225 range. I wouldn't expect to get much more than that out of it. Selling it here for $175 would probably get you a pretty quick sell (within hours I would guess) and listing it higher might delay it some.

It's now two generations old (They had the T3 I think and now the 4U) so $175 might be about right. Possibly a little more if you leave the Titleist tip on there.

EDIT: WHOA - Just realized this was almost a year old thread with the exception of the post above me. My bad.
